Just had lunch here with my sister and her family including a 6 and 2 year old. Lovely pub with lots of character. A great outdoor undercover seating area with big screen TV and patio heaters. Food portions were very adequate and all in our party enjoyed their meals. I went for the battered cod and chips and certainly won’t need to be eating dinner tonight. If you’re in the area it’s well worth a visit. It’s off season at the moment however it was still pretty busy. We didn’t book ahead and were fortunate to get a table. Probably best to book ahead if going during busier times.
Really friendly pub with great food in a lovely setting. Quite the hidden gem within Lymington. Tucked away down a country lane you would never know it’s here! Strongly recommend their food! From Burgers, Ploughman’s to Salads! The food here is great. Also in the spring/summer months you can sit out in the walled garden and bask up the sunshine! Surrounded by a lovely flower bed, listening to the birds and enjoying great food and drinks. Love this little pub, fairly priced, friendly staff. I would strongly recommend.
Visited for a drink whilst on a walk on a Saturday in January. The inside was busy with people eating but they have a good undercover area outside with heating. Good selection of Ringwood beers and cider. Menu looked good with gluten free options. Freindly staff.
Brilliant day, we caught the ferry across and walked back along the shingle path which is a bit hard going, lovely views and a very interesting place, I fo think the castle would benefit from signage in the rooms but we did not take the audio tour so maybe we should have. Still had a fab time here, you can see the IOW Needles from there too
Wonderful old style pub with outdoor heated area for when busy. We hadn't booked but the lovely staff seated us inside. The food was fantastic...quite large portions, felt like home made..Thoroughly recommend if in the area we walked from Hurst view campsite
Staff were very good to fit us in at a busy time, the lamb shank was amazing as was the local cider. Great place to stop off as it was midway through our coast walk. Dog friendly too
A great pub that serves great food, sixteenth century I believe. Food to suit all tastes and good selection of ales. An outdoor covered area for our warm summer's. Will definitely be going back.
Really great pub. Great value, venue, food and drink!
Beautiful food. Lovely and fresh and well cooked. I had the tuna special which was very tasty. Portions are huge. We were too full for pudding.
A very local pub with a yachtie person's feel. Welcoming to strangers too. Proper pub grub at reasonable prices and a good selection of beers. Having been here, in the summer, a few years ago, I can also attest to the garden area as well. A bit of renovation in the loos wouldn't go astray.
