Best place for takeaway. Tasty food and their meat quality is great, staff is friendly and helpful. We came twice in a row for lunch to test and try and the quality were exact same. Narrow sitting arrangements, improvement in hygiene is needed. Prices are average on this kind of food compared in other places in London . Highly recommended if you are looking for Pakistani desi food. RECOMMENDED
SOMEWHAT LIKE PUNJAB Chatkhara is a restaurant in Elephant and castle, London. We’s ordered mashroom rice and tarka daal and plain paranthas. The taste was nice and also it is worth for money, even i can say that it has cheap punjabi food. One thing i didn’t like that they are bit slow in serving and some resources problem. Overall, this restaurant is very good in taste and the staff is very friendly. So, if you want to something called satisfaction so you give a try to CHATKHARA.
Absolutely disgusting the amount of oil they put in, I had to throw most of it out. One pic is of rajmah and other is chana masala. Avoid at all cost.
DO NOT ORDER FORM HERE Just ordered off Uber eats Butter chicken and garlic naan I have had to bin the whole thing. Worst butter chicken I have even seen and smelt in my life. Was just pure oil and whatever was in it didn’t look appealing. Couldn’t even bring myself to even taste test it it looked that bad. The naan was so lifeless and had CHUNKS of garlic in it peeking out. I have had to bin the WHOLE order
Great place and staff is friendly Some positives: fresh naan made from clay oven, daal maash was tasty, biryani and kabli pilao taste great Some suggestions: clean tables more often, cook chicken tikka better and have more fresh food on the menu, so to avoid microwaving….
My friend bought me a lamb boona last night. I was in shock at the bones and fatty meat. I have never had a bad curry like this before. I asked my friend if this was normal there and he said no. The bones were both big and small, it reminded me of curried goat. But the food meat was one third bone and one third fat, leaving not much meat. Parking: Have to park opposite street in Loading bay ok for Sunday night. Have to approach street from north to south, otherwise no entry.
Its okay in all aspects. Went there for a quick lunch and they have a lot of selection and prices are reasonable but the taste is ok. The biryani is...very mild.Food: 3/5
The restaurant is suitable for a quick treat to yourself or hangout with friends for short time span. The look of the place is not been on their focus point neither their food appearance. They offer a variety of Asian food. Foods are more on a oily side so cannot be claimed healthy. However, we can sometime treat ourselves with bit of unhealthy good food. The nan was not really great as they were more hard and crispy, as the air wasn’t realised properly. We had two different of dhal, tadka dhal and chana dhal, both were good enough to give four stars. However the lamb curry was tasty on sweet note, which was not expected at all. The prices were moderately cheaper than other fancy restaurants. Also if you go there don’t forget to try onion fry that is freshly made and served directly from the oven. Enjoy
Food is amazing, staff are lovely, 10/10 would recommend. I got a spiced chicken curry, as per recommendation, with a garlic and chilli naan. It was amazing!
Situated at an easy to find area opposite Elephant Park. Pakistani-flavoured food, decent service. Had lamb, chicken biriyanis. Not too pricy, best served hot. A bit spicy for non-Asians.
