Simply Indian has been established for over 14 years and is a B.Y.O. casual dining restaurant. With only 28 covers we are an intimate restaurant. Many describe us as a hidden gem in the heart of London. We are located close to Borough station, famous Borough market and close to London Bridge.

Food was outstanding and is the best curry I have had in a long time. Service was quick and friendly. Small business wish gives it a cosy vibe and was great value. Would definitely recommend. Amazing food, the chef deserves a Michelin star! The minimum order size that some reviewers complained about is clearly explained on the menu and the reason for it. This is a small establishment with a limited number of tables so they can't survive on snack dinners alone; I did not find this unreasonable. For me the best curry I've had in the UK outside of Bradford!
Simply Indian exceeded expectations. The food was fresh, delicious and didn't disappoint. BYO was a big plus as we were able to get one of favourite Aussie wines from Tesco around the corner which complemented the food brilliantly. We loved it! For a small family run restaurant, I would say it punched above it's weight.
Really good Indian food in a small friendly restaurant right near Borough station. I've eaten there a few times recently and not been disappointed. Bring your own alcohol is easy with a 24 hour shop just round the corner, and there is no silly corkage charge. Just had a great evening there.Food: 5/5
i used to be a regular at this place when it first opened ..... more than 15 years ago. back then it was just amazing, the food was the best curry id ever had. recently back in the same area and i took visiting family there..... and it still is just amazing. food is just excellent and way above usual indian restaurant standard, the restaurant is so clean, the tables well spaced even though its a small intimate restaurant. so we all went back again the next week too. highly recommend this place, it does not disappoint. simply excellent. Vegetarian options: i had a vegetable biriani, time before was dahl and roti.
Simply good and welcome. Good choice, not dear. We always like coming here. Bring your own alcohol, even from Harvey’s Old Oak opposite no corkage charge. Recommended.Food: 5/5
Just placed a Togo order, when I bring home found the goat curry $18/kg only a little includes soup and veg maybe nearby 1kg, the meat only 3counts, and I have also ordered his recommended curry chicken, only meat in the curry soup nothing else, without rice.Food: 1/5
I've been twice, once dining alone early for a very relaxed and very good thali, enjoying the quiet aspect of the location. Soon after for a end of season cricket dinner of 16 guys on a Saturday 8pm on which was superbly hosted by Abu and team. We were treated to a selection of dishes all very tasty and top notch service. The value is exceptional. Our brief speeches and mild revelry were kindly tolerated. Go for a pint in the Royal Oak opposite before where they also serve takeout bottles of the excellent Harveys beers, which you can bring in the Simply Indian no corkage. I shall return to Simply Indian, I really appreciate them. The food is well beyond your normal UK Indian takeaways, with incentive and flavourful menu.

Fantastic place for a bite! So much like a home kitchen. Great tasting food, tender lamb and chicken with complex sauces. And the naan! wow never had it so good! Good thing it's around the corner from our rented apartment. So unfair the comments about the clearly explained minimum order. The fares are soooo reasonable!
