Perfect! I looked up "Indian Takeaway" nearby and this had the best reviews of about 3 in the area. So along I went, 5 minute walk, choose my food, ready very quickly, popped back to my hotel, ordered a pint of London Pride, back to my room, Boom!!! Great Curry!!! Chicken Dansak. Very tasty! Whole lentils as well. Very nice.
I am just about to leave after a top class service from start to finish. I walked in and was greeted and shown a table. Ordered a drink and meal and within minutes the starter was there. Hot and well presented. Main come after. Plenty of chicken and stunning taste. Ice cream for after and a cold beer. Top little indian and I would come here again when I work down here again. Too marks for this place. Well worth a try. You will not be disappointed. Well done staff. One happy customer.
Terrible service rude! and poor food. I asked for my main dish taste to be tweaked slightly, but they wouldn't do it and then gave me the wrong curry altogether. The portion sizes are very small I left hungry! and then they got upset when we still had 1/2 a pink of beer left, but wouldn't leave. I don't plan to go back. Avoid!!!
Very ordinary looking, but excellent food. Good flavours and nicely presented. Nicely spiced at the hotter end of the ranges, so a jalfesi really is nicely hot. Traditional set of Indian beers, Tiger and the like, in huge bottles. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
I found there to be lots of choice for vegetarians and everything was clearly labelled, so great for those on special diets. Food was delicious and everyone in my group agreed. The only slight criticism I would make is that the menu seemed expensive, but I do live in Yorkshire
Went on a Friday night, place was crazy busy but we got squeezed in a corner, had onion bhaji to start and a really nice tandoori chicken curry with garlic naan. All delicious! Would definitely go again.
The worst and rudest service I've ever experienced at a restaurant! They were very busy but we were asked to change table mid-meal to accommodate a group. The food was average at best and very oily. Staff were not engaging or friendly. Disappointed is an understatement. If you want a decent veggie curry, head across the river to Sagar.
Worst Experience on New Year Eve in Restaurant went with my family. The staff are really rudest as said another reviewer. We went during NEWYEAR eve not so much crowds in this place. Waiter was not in mood serve & service was bad & he was doing his job for namesake in. Never gave time to choose menu and forced to take all orders at same time first & final and insisted no more orders after that. Really Foods Sucks all us hated the food. Only the Name of the food & restaurant name in Indian style but taste of food is tasteless & non spicy & even waiter didn't ask us that. It's for English people who don't like spicy & salt. There is proverb a when there is no salt & spicy in the food that food is useless should be in dust bin...!
Indian restaurants can be a bit hot and miss and we came here reluctantly because the India Club in the Strand was unable to take our booking. Lucky us. Food not quite as good but a great alternative. Actually, now the India Club is being closed, it's a go to
RUDE! My husband and I have been there a few times, taking friends with us as well. We usually go eat very early when the restaurant is practically empty, eat quickly and leave. Today we were told what to order...although not written anywhere, apparently one can't order a starter and two side dishes without ordering at least one main course but they would let us order these just this once and that the next time it wouldn't be allowed. They repeated that a couple of times to make sure we understood. Now we certainly didn't want any favours; after all it seemed that being a paying customer and leaving generous tips wasn't enough so we just got up and left. The staff had never been nice, we didn't know whether to attribute it to stress, shyness or rudeness...today we definitely found one which one it was. A pity though as the food is rather good. But there are many other good Indian restaurants not far...
