I am surprised to see the 1 stars ratings and having looked through these guys' reviews I can understand why - All estate agents are "bad" and they just "rip you off" whilst "totally lacking any customer service at all". But this is not true for these estate agents - at least not in my experience... I have used Charles Dickens for the first time approximately 4.5 years ago and they were very professional and understanding. My experience was so pleasant in fact, that I decided to use them again this year when moving houses. I received the same professional and friendly service. I also was pleasantly surprised that when I walked into their office after these 4.5 years, a number of agents seemed to recognise me. Overall, best customer service for an estate agents I've ever received. Thank you very much. All the best.

A great company to work, both from a buying and a letting perspective. Always courteous and as an independent estate agent, they go that extra mile to help you out. I'm not sure what's going on with the one-star reviews, but certainly John Smith sounds like a professional complainer who says some pretty vile things about people and clearly has a beef with estate agents. No doubt he was being abusive. I run my own business and deal with professional companies all the time and Charles Dickens exceprionally good. Highly recommended.

These "people" are horrible. They don't call back and when you call them they hang up on you (for asking to be treated as a human being). Typical rude estate agents, patronising and time wasters. You should be ashamed of yourselves and I wonder if you would treat your son /daughter like this. Totally unprofessional. The cold and clammy handshake (like a dead fish) says it all. What did you think that we were going to grow cannabis in the house? We don't even smoke and not all people who have money are criminals, we EARNED our money through hard work on ebay you fools. Now go on and ask your friends to leave some fake positive reviews. Just go on google and write "estate agents are" and you'll see the most searched things: rude, useless, scum, crooks... etc. etc. You are all the same. You lot would sell your mother for money. I had to threaten them to call the police to have my fees back. These "people" are simply NOT ABLE TO HAVE AN ADULT CONVERSATION. Apparently these people don't understand the meaning of having a job and being transferred or being self-employed. They probably never passed this information to the landlord and when I asked when I could show our documents they didn't answer, I even told them I have all the documents in the car and they were not interested so they knew it since the beginning (but the got the fees didn't they). When then I kindly asked the reason why we had been rejected they hanged up on me. Maybe showing up in an expensive Range Rover would have done the trick, right? You are the perfect example of why people hate estate agents so much, even estate agents hate estate agents! Greedy horrible people who enjoy humiliating their customers. Seriously? SERIOUSLY? I am incredibly proud of being self-employed and sweetie pie I certainly make more money than you do in your boring hated job (not that I have to be proud of having more money than you as money doesn't give you happiness but I am certainly very proud of being a better person than you lot are). I only have myself to blame for this, why oh why do I still believe in these "people"? The answer is private landlords, even they have given up on you, your shocking fees and your rude attitude. Of course I can understand that the landlord might prefer someone else but I do not accept to be humiliated by you or having the telephone hanged up on me when I politely ask why we have been rejected. Since everything you say makes no sense I've come to the conclusion that you must be part of that 52%. How can you sleep at night, you are on the same level as car dealers and politicians. "A modern approach with traditional values" ah ah ah... ridiculous. I've never received such bad "customer service". Yeah sure, of course you don't know who I am, I can actually quite believe that as you treat people like products. You must really hate your job in order to treat people like this and I really really wish you all the worst in life, equals to stay there for the rest of your miserable useless lives and that is probably what is going to happen judging by your handshake.
