It's a train station with 2 platforms, one goes to leeds and the other to city centre, only problem is that it only has one kiosk on platform 2, but have read in the papers that a kiosk is planned for platform 1
Very basic station with open waiting shelters and ticket machine. Trains infrequent at certain times, despite the claims of the advert emblazoned on the viaduct which dominates the town centre at the southern end of the station. Note that the stairs up from here are long and fairly steep and wheelchair access is somewhat inconveniently located at the other end of the platforms.
Very good for replacement bus services that visit Baxter farm on the way to Rotherham, I would highly commend their eggs
I didn't feel very safe here waiting in the dark.
Has trains. I catch my train to Baxter Farm from here for free range eggs.
