Terrible experience after ordering a taxi the previous day for a restaurant booking. When I called twice asking where our taxi was as it was late and not showing as on its way on the ‘track my ride’ function, the two operators weren’t truthful. Both said it was dropping off at a nearby named street and would be 5/10 mins. No show. The tracker started, one taxi was 15 mins away, not near the named street, it drove in our direction, then swapped for another taxi which drove in the opposite direction! Even when our taxi arrived, it drove by the opening for our street a whopping 45 mins late. My issue was no communication from Central to say they couldn’t meet our booking and their lack of honesty. Fair was high too, I’ll be removing my app and booking elsewhere from now on.
Would give 0 stars if I could. Booked for a wedding we were attending four days in advance, taxi didn’t arrive to pick us up, after 45 minutes we were left to find a different way to get into town. We had also pre booked a taxi to get home but this taxi also failed to turn up - when I called the company to ask where it was they told us we were in a queue of people and couldn’t tell us when it would arrive. I don’t understand the point of pre-booking if you then get put in a queue of people at 12:30am!! I spoke to an extremely rude member of staff called Emma who threatened to cancel our taxi altogether and as we live far away from the venue we were forced to wait. Shocking service - will never ever book with this company again and will telling all my family and friends to avoid at all costs!!
Appallingly rude driver. Huffed and puffed when I told him my destination. He was annoyed that he would have to drive through the LTN in Corstorphine. I said forget it, just let me out. He ignored this, locked the doors and drove off, in the wrong direction and dropped me off at entirely the wrong place. The call centre totally disinterested in my complaint.
I've just discovered that if you call them from your Google search it's an 0845 number, which isn't at all obvious and incurrs a 65p change to be told they'll send you a WhatsApp link. You can find the link on the bookings page of their website but I'm not sure I'll be giving them any more of my business.
