They mostly turn up in time so are pretty reliable. If you have to stop for any reason it’s 30 pence a minute which is extortionate so plan your ride. !
Central are great. I used to use United Taxis, but they were often late and recently had a drivers threaten me and jack up prices at the curb despite agreeing to other prices. I was told by United that "they are independent contractors so there's not much we can do". Central Cars is faster, has a car tracking link so you can see where your drivers are, stores your favourite locations, and has better prices. They are my new go-to! Drivers are friendly. Best taxi service in Thanet.
They are never on time! Thanet cars are definetly a better options from now on! They tell you its a 15 minute wait and you wait 40 minutes. Late for work now! Worse service on Thanet!
Used this company for 10 years but no more after their rude and unhelpful call handler he wanted pay upfront and wife was told no job out of town taken until its paid .. one wasted hospital appointment as wife and son couldn't get there so cancelled the emergency appointment. Next morning text came through saying taxi on its way.. complete joke of a company. Rude and very unhelpful I would advise to AVOID .
They’re really good, polite and on time. Fairly priced. Recommend booking ahead as they can get quite busy.
Been using this company on and off for 10 years. Never disappoints. If you're organised enough to tell them the right details and time you need a taxi, they'll do their job and go above and beyond. Never had any issues, and thanks to the tracking link that comes as a text message - you can easily track your taxi so you're out and ready for it just on time
Always got taxis and always come on time this is the best taxi service in Margate never had a problem with central
Called and booked an hour ahead. Taxi arrived 45 minutes late and no calls from the cab company to say they are running behind schedule . Driver was sent to the wrong address as well. That said, apologetic and nice driver. Nice new Toyota too.
I've been let down so many times with central cars, even booked hours in advance to ensure a relatively close time but they still manage to mess it up, I'll never use them again, thoroughly disappointed.
Just a quick shout out to these guys! Was a wait of an hour for a cab at midnight 22/06 but these guys managed to get one to me within 5 mins. Travelling on my own so I was super grateful. Very friendly drivers and call operators. Driver also hung about til I was safely in my hotel. Legends!
