Absolutely terrible doctors. My elderly mother can’t get through on the phone for a appointment, was told by staff to come down and wait in a queue at 8am but she cannot hardly walk let alone stand in a long queue.
The amount of problems and how rude the receptionist are is unreal. I understand that healthcare system doesn't have the support, funding or man power for the amount of people requiring them. On the other hand my partner has recently had surgery, after being in pain and not feeling right we contacted the doctor at the hospital where the operation was done. They told us to ring the G.P to book an appointment to check for things like infections. After trying for 2 days, being on hold for over an hour both times just to speak to a receptionist we get the same response "we haven't got any more appointments today try again tomorrow" This isn't some little snotty nose we are calling about, it is a call recommended by a doctor from the hospital that we been seen after surgery. The receptionist with their mighty power hunger and God like status on the phones turning people away who actually need to be seen which has come recommended from a doctor from the hospital is ridiculous.
I am not sure what is the procedures of seeing a GP but it seems that the GP is sitting behind the phone and calling the patients and the nurse is doing the job. The funny thing is the nurse is fully booked for weeks. So, it meant that we will never see the GP or nurse? What's the point of paying NI???
I went to the surgery for a routine blood test, staff were friendly and accomadating and allowed me to see the nurse even though I was running late fir my appointment.
My partner has had the same medical problem for months and only gets a phone call appointment. You would think that after a certain length of time a proper doctor would go "ah, maybe we actually need to PHYSICALLY see this lady", but no palmed off because we give a appalling service. Don't bother to register it's a lucky dip service.
Took over 2 weeks to book. Got a telephone cons organised. Missed the call by a hair line and phoned back. Left several messages. Waited a further week. Phoned again. Samantha, the receptionist, was abrupt and told me to rebook. I tried phoning the next day, after 45 mins and 70 tries, got an appt at 3.10pm. Arrived & saw the Dr on time; and he didn't seem the slight bit interested in my symptoms. I booked a double slot and was out in 5 mins! No care left in society!
I would like to say a big thank you to the staff who were so helpful today. 5/5/22 I didn't feel right and asked if they could help, they were more than obliging. I was half expecting to be told to come back another day/make an appointment. I didn't have an appointment but I saw a doctor and a nurse and felt much better afterwards as they did what I had hoped and checked me over. Thank you all again and thank you to the NHS in general.
Absolutely worst surgery ever! Appallingly managed! Impossible to get an appointment. I am glad to say I am Leaving the area soon but not soon enough! This is not a health service, it’s a joke! I feel so sorry for the people that have to work under this absolutely useless Lakeside management! Patients were cajoled into this merging of the surgeries and not told about the private management that were going to run it! Just disgusting! Waste of public money!
A healthcare prevention service! Booking a routine appointment is made extremely hard with only limited windows at either end of the day to be able to do so. If you have even a slightly busy work life and kids to manage at either end of the day the chances are you will struggle. My worst GP surgery experience
The worst GP practice I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Went in with strep throat only to be told I had tonsillitis. My tonsils were removed 30 years ago . I also went in for a check up, they said everything seems fine and I have a nice strong heartbeat. I Replied well I should have.... I have a pacemaker. They didn't even know. Absolute rubbish.
