I expected the usual manor, gobelins and all, but found a cute little museum for local history instead, the artefacts ranging from the Stone Age to the Cold War. There are some tapestries though! Super friendly staff, great views, nice souvenirs too.

Fabulous little museum full of interesting items.  Friendly helpful staff.  Definitely worth the £3 entry fee.

This is a lovely museum which really brings Cowal history to life. We visited to try and find some local information and the friendly staff went the extra mile and then some to find the answers to our query. Don't miss visiting this museum when you visit Cowal.

Beautiful place to visit. Not had the chance to go inside yet but have been told it lovely to walk round.
