Having recently moved down from Cardiff it’s been hard to find a chippy that could match up to my previous local, but castle fish bar are even better! Every time I’ve been the foods been excellent, chips are always crispy on the outside and lovely and fluffy in the middle. You can tell they take care with everything from the chips to the homemade chicken curry (personal favourite). Service can be slow at peak times as food is cooked fresh from what I understand but it’s well worth the wait as no chippy I’ve had in Caerphilly really matches up!

This is, without doubt the premier fish bar in the Caerphilly area. Fish well cooked, batter crisp and generous chips all very reasonably priced. The added bonus is the welcome and humour of the staff, especially Sadie.

1st visit in many years and not disappointed. Great selection of food on the menu. They also have a specials board. I went for the chilli and chips special. Lovely chilli, chips crunchy and soft.warm welcome from Very friendly staff. Will definitely be using again and highly recommend.

Freshly cooked and tasty, waiting time acceptable for quality - top value for top quality food. Fish fresh hot and crispy. Chips very good. Varied products and pleasant staff. Well worth trying - recommend.

Had a fantastic visit here yesterday with my family. The chippy was a recommendation from the people from the castle and was totally worth the 10 minute walk. Super friendly owners and delicious food. A must-visit if you're in Caerphilly.
