We stumbled across this place after a day out visiting Flatford Mill, we wanted somewhere that was dog friendly, this fitted the bill. We had a few drinks there and had a quick look at the menu, very extensive, and not overpriced. The next evening we booked in for a meal, and were not disappointed, the food was well worth waiting for, decent sized portion, staff were very pleased and made my dogs feel very welcome. Next time we are in the area would definitely go back again.
Visited the pub by chance as it was dog friendly. The staff were super friendly and even served food just after the kitchen was due to close. The main course was generous in size and great tasting. We had stake and ale pie and liver and bacon. They gave the dog a fuss and checked in regularly. Would recommend to all.
Booked a family meal on Saturday. The food was excellent...tasty and hot. Our compliments to the chef. The venue is cosy with a log fire and the staff friendly and efficient. Competitively priced also. A very pleasant occasion.
Really lovely cosy dog friendly village pub. Super food, great service, lovely people, enjoyed their Sunday roast very much And the fire crackling away was rather nice too!

Went for a drink and lunch on a Sunday. Lovely traditional pub. Your classic English country pub. A very friendly welcome. Great service, even though it was quite busy. Extensive drinks ‘menu’ and a very good choice of food. Went for the crispy pork belly with Stilton mash and spinach which was really good. My wife had the Turkey Sunday roast and loved it. We will be going back and I can definitely recommend it.
Lovely food, great service. Definitely recommend the Sausage, Mash and large Yorkie Pud!

Great pub in a lovely village with great food good service and fine wines - Latest visit was even better as the standard was just as high and food even greater - RECOMMENDED.
