We have just had a wonderful 5 course starter menu party of six. I have been fortunate to eat at some of the best Michelin restaurants the UK has to offer. The Angel Inn surpasses them all. A big thank you to the chef for the incredible food and the friendly attentiveness shown by all the staff. I would recommend The Angel Inn to those wishing to experience the best in culinary delights. The food itself may have been prepared by an Angel!!
WOW ! What can I say .... Possibly one of the most memorable dining experience I have had in a very long while ! We chose the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing, my wife is Gluten intolerent and also can't eat red meat, but the amazing chefs team were incredibly willing and able to rise to the challenge and accomodate her needs. The food was creative and delicious, new tastes, flavours, textures and smells. Our sommelier, Valerio, who guided and animated our evening introduced us to interesting and exciting wines to pair with our food and took us on a wonderful culinary journey of new flavors and delights. This is a dining experience not to be missed.
The restaurant experience was: Sophistication. Classy. Cosy. Attentive staff. Excellent customer service. I was impressed with general customer service. I wasn't too blow away by the duck meal on the a la carte meal, though.Rooms: 5/5
We had a one night stay - dining experience dinner and breakfast the room cornfield was beautiful, decor was gorgeous with all the facilities you would need Nespresso coffee machine / home made chocolates/ fresh milk etc The garden was lovely especially for pre dinner drinks, the restaurant - the food was absolutely amazing, presentation exquisite, flavour awesome, service informative and attentive, really knowledgeable about wine pairings. We had a fantastic evening celebrating our anniversary- they even gave us a card and complimentary glasses of bubbly. We couldn’t recommend The Angel highly enough. Breakfast - everything fresh and lots of choice. Beautiful place with lovely staff - you must try this place.
What a memorable meal - chose the tasting menu - wonderfully presented food and wine, service and ambiance - such an eye for detail - stunning!Service: 5/5
Nice y to o be back and the refurbishment is excellent. The food, range, presentation and taste was exquisite. I thought that the price for the evening was expensive. There are very few local places that can compete with this restaurant. One has to make ones own mind up about how much you are willing to pay. Wine list was good if a little limited. The service was attentive and polite. We will come again but suspect for the special occasion. Overall enjoyed the evening. Thank you.
What a shame that people who clearly haven't even tried it feel the need to talk down a place because it offers something different from the norm. There is no shortage of pubs and restaurants in the area that offer inexpensive, traditional meals and welcome young children. That's great but some people also like more adventurous food served in a grown-ups friendly atmosphere. The food here is undeniably more expensive than most other local pubs and restaurants, but it's also absolutely brilliant and some of us don't mind spending a bit more to have a quality meal with great service in a great location. Please don't leave reviews for places you haven't even tried. It's not fair to the restaurant and its not what Google reviews are for.
Amazing Food and Hospitality Where do I start, the venue itself is stunning, the refurb really does do it justice, the hidden well is so fascinating well worth a look at All the staff in front of house are really polite and even after a long shift they still have smiles, amazing bunch and full of knowledge as to what they are serving. We also had to try the wine pairing as it would be rude not to really, the knowledge they had of the wines was outstanding and complemented the food really well. Now the food, well to start with a huge well done to all the chefs as there were no faults with any of the dishes, amazing food through out. We had the tasting menus and WOW what a variety, I wasn’t sure on a couple but as it says it’s a tasting menu and I was so so glad I did, the flavours were to die for, I have to say my favourite for the nite was the ravioli, absolutely gorgeous. All in all it was a 5star performance for us and will be back to sample more of the menu, a huge well done to ALL the staff, such a fantastic team.
WOW!! WHAT A SPECIAL PLACE THIS IS. If you want to experience a meal of michelin star quality and service, then this place really ticks the boxes. The food quality and presentation was out standing. the service was top class. Yes you get what you pay for and this place certainly deliveries. This I believe is the best quality restaurant out of London that i've visited in East Anglia and Ive tried the best. Rather than read any negative reviews on price, Save up spend the money and have one of the greatest meals of your life.
I would give zero stars if I could. NO CHILDREN ALLOWED! Terrible! They have refurbished and although looks lovely, it has completely lost the welcoming and friendly atmosphere! Such a shame. We were in the area and tried to pop in for a drink in the garden as we have done many times previous to development. We were told no children under the age of 13 allowed. Lunchtime on a Sunday and only 2 people in the rather large outdoor seating area and completely empty carpark. Upon arrival, we actually wondered if it was open at all. Sadly, will never revisit one of our once favourite pubs in the area, even without our two very well behaved children. Unfortunately, all style no thought for the community they used to serve.
