Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had when buying from a shop. December 15th 2017: was told at 12pm the fitter was ill and wouldn't fit carpets as arranged for 12.30pm. Major stress, lied to by staff, no answer on phone kept ringing all afternoon, next morning 16th December. I went to the shop and spoke with covering manager from Swindon store, he was very understanding and as helpful as he could be. He managed to get carpets fitted that afternoon. Fitters came late, in a complete rush. Marked freshly painted walls, sliced brand new toilet seat and wall. Carpets saggy and lumpy. Brand new doors needed to be planed off due to carpets thickness, cut too much off big gaps now! Charged £15 each for that. Fitter cut the landing carpet wrong and blamed it on incorrect size ordered but the off cuts were more than enough to of been the correct size. Replacement carpet was ordered arranged to fit today (12th January 2018, guess what? Fitter is ill and not coming again! Store assistant trying to rearrange another day. What a joke! Stung for the 3rd and hopefully final time, will never ever shop at carpetright again and neither will anyone I know. Oh and all I'll apparently receive is £25 for each time they fail to turn up!. Disgusting!!!!! 12/01/18 fitting booked in for next week, late pm. Won't be holding my breath. *UPDATE::::19/01/18....Fitting had been rearranged for late pm today the 19th January and guess what? The fitter hasn't turned up or called me!!!!!!!!!!!!! So turns out I've now been burnt yet again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear the excuses tomorrow....if they answer the phone that is!. Am I ever going to get this carpet replaced?!. I wonder if this is something trading standards should be aware of because it's just ridiculous now.

Where to start. The fact that this shop chews up staff and spits them out on a weekly basis should speak volumes. I had a bathroom vinyl fitted in March which was so poor it had to be replaced. The second fitting was even worse to the extent that their own fitters wouldn’t recover it. So , sat here today waiting for the fitters and despite calling the shop yesterday to confirm fitting ( as I had not heard anything) nobody has turned up. So after a long conversation with the only member of staff in the shop who has worked for them for 2 weeks I am being told that somebody tried to call me last night to tell me they would not be here. Well that’s just not true but even so , if they tried unsuccessfully why not try again today . So 3 days off work and several months later I still have an uncarpetted floot. So trying to be charitable , it’s not the individuals at fault. It’s the senior management. How can it be fair on anyone, customer or staff to under resource in such a shocking way. In a market where people are more nd more careful where they spend their money, beware Carpet right or you will added to the list of failed businesses. Customers care is key. We will forgive most errors if they correct their errors and show some respect to their customers. Shocking !

This place is absolute joke. I went into store and picked my carpet and the old guy told me they needed to send some one out to measure up so I was booked in for the morning of the 11th when no one showed up I phoned and spoke to a man called Chris who booked me in for the following day between 10-11am but when no one showed up for the second time I phoned and all I was told is Chris is off today. Staff were rude and couldn't care less about your custom. Worst service ever! AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!

Went into this store no one spoke to us or offered any assistance. We were wanting to carpet most of our new house. The guy at the desk did not listen to a thing we said, only wrote down our info on a scrap peice of paper, I had to ask him to write our contact number down! We were assured someone was coming out to measure up on an agreed date. Waited in all morning, no one showed! Called the store they had no record of our booking. They re booked another guy to measure up for the following day, ofcourse same thing again..... No one showed, call the shop again no record of our booking no apology on the phone completely rude staff wasted a whole 2 mornings for nothing! One member of staff even told us to use another store down the road as they would be better & cheaper anyway. This store is beyond useless and should be shut down AVOID THEM

If I had a pound for every time I have been told I would be phoned back it would pay for the carpet - I have bought but has still not been delivered and laid !
