Fantastic fancy dress shop. I was going to order something off Amazon but I much prefer to see it up close in a shop and I wanted to support a local shop. Great service So much to choose from. Thanks for the grease outfits, everyone loved them.

Don't use the website to order items as they won't arrive on time and you have no possibility to track your package. I had ordered a mask on October 20th with delivery expected within 5 to 7 days, after 7 days and no news about the item I called the place and received no help whatsoever and received very rude treatment and no clarity on when the refund would be issued. Won't definitely try to shop again here, suggested to try and provide reliable information on the website, received rude behaviour again as a response.

I wasn’t allowed to browse by myself, I went downstairs to check it out and she seemed angry I went downstairs without her. She seemed adamant that someone stayed with me the entire time and refused to let me shop on my own. I was confused as there was other customers browsing on their own.  I thought maybe it was the store closing in 20mins, but I could of been quicker on my own. And there was someone trying on costumes upstairs so I was confused why I was the only one being hurried and followed around. She showed me a rude attitude, shaking her head and sighing at me when she thought I couldn’t see.  It was an uncomfortable experience and I left feeling confused and inferior. I hate to say but all the other customers were white and I was black, I can’t possibly see any other reason for the hostile behaviour towards me.

Super store! They have everything you need from costumes, make up, sprays, masks etc… please let’s support our local stores when we can. Such lovely and helpful owners who sorted my son’s costume out for World Book Day tin man so efficiently. Highly recommended!

Reasons for my rating - I found what I was looking for but, like a number of other comments say, the sales lady was shockingly rude just because I asked for the receipt when getting ready to pay. The store has a large selection of party stuff but if you can get what you are looking for elsewhere, do not use this shop or you risk being treated like a piece of dirt.

Ilke and the shop are old west london favourites. Ilke’s worth sticking around to talk to. Chaotic yes but also hilarious and often knows just the thing when you ask  Take your time - It’s a labyrinth in there but I find that just adds to the pre-party excitement!

Me and my friend went to Carnival Store Hammersmith on Monday 19th February. We called the LOVELY lady who runs the shop and she agreed out of the kindness of her heart to keep the shop open while we arrived to get there she kept the shop open for 30 minutes after it closed for us. She was so friendly and the costume we bought was of a good price and quality, we had a very nice conversation with her and she complimented us because we were students. She also offers university student discounts. WOULD 10000% COME BACK. The lady was truly so warm and sweet, we will be purchasing our costumes from her again. Such a lovely experience with such an honest small business.

Disgusting, they sent me wrong items, I was told by Stefani that I would get full refund including postage, I promptly returned the items in the original box by recorded delivery, the post office returned the items to me stating that Carnival Store refused to take the items back?. I am disgusted, they are dishonest, by refusing to to take back items I don’t get a refund? Very clever and very dishonest.
