Brilliant shop and hires or you can buy. Packed with everything you would need for a finished look. Staff are really helpful but Halloween shopping is busy and buying side can be over whelming as the aisles are big enough to fit one person either side. Be warned is a great shop and you may find that you need to give yourself extra time. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent place to find a costume for all sorts of parties and events. Customer service was enthusiastic and helpful in finding my outfit. Would use them again!
A big 5 to Dot and Shane even if Dot said i looked like a fly when I walked in seriously, thanks for all your assistance on finding the things I needed for the party, and your input to what would and wouldn't work. Even tho i felt a bit ill and wanted to be in and out of the shop quickly you made me laugh and could have chatted all day. Amazing customer service and range of stuff. Glad I travelled from across the other side of London now was 100% worth it.
I would like to thank Mad World Fancy Dress so much for their communications attention to detail and one of the best customer services experiences I have ever had from contact to delivery. Few hiccups getting the items delivered and lost but on the last day pulled the stops out and sent an Uber with a replacement outfit to my hotel 12 hours before my flight thanks so much. You have to work with good companies that go above and beyond this is one of those thanks so much to my direct contact and the team in the back ground. Great work.
A lot of cheap things, if you are looking for vintage staff, that's not the place
This costume hire and specifically Eleni in the Old St branch are amazing! I hired 21 x 18th century / Marie Annoinette themed dresses and each was incredible quality, clean and everything was handled so professionally and clearly. Thank you again Eleni and Mad World team!

Popped in on the offchance they could help as Amazon had let me down. The ladies in there helped me source everything I needed at short notice, including thinking outside the box. Very reasonable prices too! 10/10 would recommend!
Recently I was on a mission to obtain two costumes from the musical Frozen and after much debate from within the office in getting them delivered by mail after the other stores did not give us confidence in their array and quality, I took the advice from a friend who recommended Mad World. I, head a department for a Company who entertains and arranges private and intimate events for people who travel to Great Britain when "The Season" begins and throughout the year, and on this occasion we had a particular VIP Family from abroad who were in London for a private family event. The couple in question has a young child who has just begun to love the musical Frozen and we needed to make an impression to welcome the family back to our shores with a WOW moment, as my two colleagues would act out the role of two characters from the musical with songs, due to the Family's social position. I first rang the store and spoke to the irresistible Manager Eleni and within moments I knew I was speaking to the right person. When I paid a visit to the store the team had both costumes ready for me to look at and when I knew these were the best costumes I could have asked for, Eleni then began to "put the costumes together" with those little extras that would create a memorable experience for the family and their audience. One pays for the costumes at a reasonable price and is allowed to keep them for a week and their costumes are simply amazing and One could actually get lost in this store. But what is really attractive about this store is the team. They totally get involved with one's vision and ideas. I could actually continue with this review but I fear it may take up too much of your time. This message is for everyone in London and England, "get yourself to Old Street and pay a visit to this store, you will not be disappointed". It's only a five minute walk from the tube station. To Eleni, Dot and Elexis, thank you for your amazing and dedicated time and effort and I shall see you again. Five stars +.
Visited here for the first time to hire a Johnny Depp style Mad Hatter outfit and could not have had a better experience. All of the staff could not do enough for me, finding outfit variations to suit and fit me - even styling a basic black hat to character. They clearly take huge pride in what they do. Will definitely add an image from the party itself, complete with scary makeup. Huge selection of outfits and accessories - highly recommended! PS. More great service when I went to pick my outfit up, including taking time to help me to buy the correct face paint etc. Pictures as promised!
