Carluccio's
"Carluccio’s began life in 1991 when Antonio and Priscilla opened their food shop in Neal Street, bringing the finest quality regional Italian food to London. They carefully wrote each label by hand and explored the length and breadth of Italy to find the best ingredients. In 1999 they opened the first Carluccio’s Caffè in Market Place – an authentic Italian restaurant in the truest sense of the word, and a continuation of their successful food shop."

I nipped into Carluccio's in between meetings. I needed something quick that wasn't too heavy. Service was quick and exactly what I would expect from Carluccio's. I had glass of red and the antipasti plate. Both were delicious and I was in and out in 40 minutes. Reasonably priced as well. I will be going back when I have more time to spend.
I love railway stations and a railway station with an excellent Carluccio's is extremely hard to beat. I had to break a journey in Manchester Piccadilly at lunch time and what better way to do that than have a lunch in Carluccio's. It was busy, which is a good sign, it had plenty of space, which is also good and table service so one didn't have to juggle bags and trays. The menu had plenty of choice for all tastes. Service was quick, but no feeling that the food had been prepared somewhere else and just reheated. This was done on site. Portions were generous, hit and very tasty. The mushroom soup was superb!! and worth a visit just for that. I spent my weekend looking forward to a rematch but trains being trains, this was not to be. Superb experience for me.
Lovely service but don’t know how to make porridge. Nice coffee but the porridge was just oats and warm milk, not really cooked properly. It’s not that difficult after all.
Had an amazing 5th dating anniversary dinner. The food was great and the service was super quick. A pleasant surprise was a gift of a box of chocolates : We'll be coming againFood: 5/5
Staff were nice, the atmosphere is probably as good as it can get in a train station. Unfortunately, the food just made me sad : Somehow, my singular piece of toast was both burned and also drenched, and the drink was 80% ice. 2 mouthfuls of juice for £3.75 is a bit silly.Food: 2/5
There are 4 of us; we waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken. The waiter ignored us the whole time. Coffee eventually arrived without the desserts, so we had to drink our coffee before it went cold. Then the waiter said one of the desserts wasn't available. Average main course food but it took about 30 minutes to arrive even when it wasn’t busy at all.
Understaffed The number of staff on the floor one during a busy breakfast service is unfair on that member of staff, and the customers. This is a train station, people are here because they have trains to catch - quick service and bill payment is a necessity. The poor girl on shift very lovely and professional was set up to fail today, and I observed countless potential customers walk out… lost sales which could pay the wage costs of an additional floor staff Took 20 mins to get an order in. Unimpressive from an operational perspective.
Fabulous breakfast!!! Staff is very friendly and attentive:
100% every time, warm, friendly service . Food always served hot and pleasing to the eye. Vegetarian options: Delicious options available
We ordered lasagne because it's simple Italian food and we were in a rush. The food was tepid at best. We could have returned it but it would we feel just have been zapped in a microwave. Service was good but we won't be returning.Food: 2/5
