Always finding a parking spot. In busy times there will be an appointed person to direct you and advise on floors availability. Wide ramps so no fear of scratching your car going up and down the levels.
Horrible car park, especially for a hospital! The spaces are tiny, there are no pedestrian walkways and the maneuvering room is very minimal. The cost is also very high. As a pregnant woman I cannot get out of the car when in a space and we have had to pay a lot for my husband to be there with me during an emergency. Only plus is that it is well lit and clean.
Always clean and safe, well lit. Can get very busy but I have always managed to park. Not cheap, but it's at a hospital and the treatment is free.
The only option to park when attending Musgrove Hospital as a patient or visitor and because of this it can get busy.nDecent size parking bays as long as people park sensibly.nThe real issue is the extortionate cost of parking exploting people who are unwell or visiting patients.nI believe the car park is owned by a separate company so the money does not even go to the NHS, who clearly put profits ahead of sickly people.nShame on them
The car park is a fixed tariff throughout the week, which is disappointing when the Taunton Park & Ride service doesn't run on a weekend.nnThe tariff rates were up to;n1hour £1.60n2hours £4.10n4hours £6.60n24hours £10.70nnLost tickers are charged at 24hour rate.nnIt is acceptable for a visitor to have this type of payment scheme as they are incharge of the amount of time they spend.nnI don't however believe this is fair for a patient as any delay to their appointment time outside their control would result in them being charged more. Perhaps a better method would be for patients to get their parking voucher validated on arrival and departure of their clinic.
