Today a Q-Park employee was blocking the exit and was shouting at a young lady in her car. I waited patiently but after a few minutes, the traffic was backed up. I sound my horn and then the employee turned to me, approached my driver window and commenced to scream and shout at me. His shouting continued and I thought he was going to lash out at me. He called me a stupid old man and various other words. I asked for his name and he then walked off. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour.
Hospital is stressful enough, without having to worry about parking hassles. All staff I’ve dealt with have been very courteous and helpful with regards longer term parking. There was also a fair bit of user error on my side.
It is fairly expensive and the spaces packed together, however there's a whole parking area for disabled parking. Not a good place to take a large car or a moderate sized van as I witnessed someone trying to get their van out and their being inadequate room for maneuver. Personally, I think that its all too squashed and as many spaces squeezed in as possible, for a car park for visitors at a hospital.
Parking is getting a nightmare now that a lot of spaces shut off for building, especially Disabled. The only good thing now that if you find a space it's now free for Blue Badge holders, otherwise gone up to £3 for 1+HR.
For the average hospital appointment of 20 minutes, a minimum parking charge of 2 hours is a little sharp. Some of the disabled parking bays need some serious attention, being only as wide as standard parking spaces. I had to roll my car forward out of the bay to open the door wide enough to permit my disabled mother to get in. As the driver, had I been the one with the mobility issues and not able to get my door open to get in, this could have caused a real problem.
Awful company that hike prices and don’t protect or even care about the vehicles within its site. Staff pay yearly or monthly for parking at work and the prices are so expensive. Cars and other vehicles always get damaged and they don’t do anything about it. Poor customer care. Poor service. should be removed.
The spaces weren't to small, the instructions for payment were clear. When I returned to pay and leave the ticket was rejected by the payment machine but a short walk to a real person soon resolved the problem and I could pay by card. Thank you for not adding to the stress of an A&E visit.
Not where you want to end up on holiday but they were amazing looked after my mum fantastic. So friendly and caring, kept mum in for around five hours and pushed through checks so she could come out without staying in the night.
I normally don't complain about parking charges as they are a part of modern life. However, I was charged £2.80 for under ten minutes parking at the Treliske Hospital Truro site. This charge equates to approximately £17 per hour. My daughter in law had broken her leg and I needed to collect her and the baby from the fracture clinic. I wasn't sure that she would be ready so I went into the QPark car park. I got out of the car and saw her outside waiting. I loaded the pushchair and them into the car in under ten minutes. I thought that there might be no charge or just a small charge for such a short time but no, I had to pay £2.80 which is simply daylight robbery. I was shocked that there wasn't an under 30 minutes charge. Also many car parks allow a 15 minute turn around time just incase you can't park. As it was there was only one space left. Therefore, if only one car had been badly parked car I would have needed to leave anyway. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy a positive parking experience as stated on their website. Please be fair for short stays and bring in a smaller charge for under 30 minutes.
