Don't bother! Barriers let you in the car park even though there aren't any spaces. It let a load of cars in behind us too, which made it difficult to get out. Trenwith car park has space, but just as expensive and you need to catch a bus back into the village, £1.50 pp each way. Apparently best to park at Rugby Club, and get a bus down.
New parking system would be good if simular to home where you register parking and on leaving pay only for the time you was there. Beautiful walks and views around this area.
Very hard to find a parking space you can be waiting for ages.but you are right on the beach. Probably the best place to park.
I didnt use the car park, but this one is very close to the town centre.
Car park is well used in this popular tourist spot in St. Ives. Easy walking to the Island and the town itself.
The new car parking system is absolutely USELESS, plenty of complaints from other people trying to make sense of it. If something's not broke don't fix it! My stay for two weeks was stated as costing £89, then £94, then £107!! If you want to leave St. Ives early in the morning with no help available until 9.a.m you may be a victim of fraud. Don't use this place steer clear. Pay and park WAKEY WAKEY WOKEY WOKEY'S!!
Ideal car park but not run very well. You have to queue for a very long time in those narrow streets. The day that we visited, the barriers and parking ticket machine were out of order and there wasn't enough support. People were standing around looking for ways to pay for a long time. The customer service didn't know what to advise people. Confused drivers were stuck blocking the entrance, exit and the streets.
Stay away during summer holidays. To get there you have to drive through st Ives harbour road which is packed with people. If you plan to park here then leave really early in the morning to make sure you get a space.
Very very busy and small place that hardly holds countable cars. The problem is people once park don’t leave early and it may easily take couple of hours to find a good spot for your above average size car because mostly it’s for compact cars. Walking distance from the beach and wheelchair accessible. Can’t recommend as it’s very busy so it’s better to park elsewhere and save time
Handy carpark near the harbour and beach , rates not too bad , gets busy though . Roads into and out of the carpark are quite small and packed with pedestrians so take care . Definitely won't get there with a trailer!
