Car-Link knowingly sold me a defective car, claiming it to be in perfect condition. It is still in my local garage being repaired and I have not been able to use the car since I bought it several months ago. The repair bill will be over £3000 which they have managed to con the RAC into paying, presumably claiming the fault developed in the day I had the car in my possession. The worst used car buying experience I have ever had. In addition, they gave me half what they promised on my trade in car as well, claiming it was in very bad repair which I seriously doubt now. Downright dishonest. I can now update this review as the car now needs a new alternator. The owner is correct in saying the first fault developed two weeks after I bought the car, but I did not use it during that period. It is somewhat suspicious therefore that the turbo was defective the first time I drove the car. (Unless course it was one hell of a coincidence, and maybe was...) I use the car very rarely, so now that the alternator needs replacing it all adds up to a very unfortunate conclusion, but you be the judge. I would suggest you stay well clear of these people. I would also recommend that you scroll down past the "friends of Car-Link" reviews to the bad ones at the bottom, which give a much more accurate summary of the experience you are likely to have if you do business with them. They have more of the ring of truth about them than the previous ones, I would suggest. In response to Car-Link's proposal that I am blackmailing them, this is laughable. However I would say that in terms of my time and money this experience has been very costly. I don't expect any form of payment from them (perhaps offering to cover the costs they have incurred wouldn't be unreasonable) but I do want an apology or some kind of explanation for their dishonesty. They have only made things worse by suggesting otherwise. I would seriously recommend avoiding this place. They obviously get friends to write enough reviews to push the bad stuff down the results page. My experience was awful.

We recently purchased a car for my son from Car-Link and I was most impressed with the way the whole process was dealt with. Reece from Car-Link was very professional and not pushy in any way. We viewed the car on Sunday and collected it today without any issues. I would have no hesitation in recommending them & Reece. Thank you!

I've bought my BMW 320i convertible from Car Link and the process was very pleasant. Reese is a true professional and answered every question and I asked loads. The car was handed over in superb condition. It was well worth the drive from London. A few days later a random warning message popped up on my dashboard but I totally panicked as only had the car for a few days. It turned out to be a blip in the system but Reese arranged for a local garage to check my car, sorted everything for me including the payment for the diagnostics. I must say this is outstanding and even the garage was well impressed. I hope to keep my car for a few years but if I'm ever changing it they will be my first choice to look. Thanks

I contacted Car-Link in some trepidation due to their 300 mile distance from our home in North Yorkshire. I need not have worried. The whole purchasing experience from Car-Link was made simple and straightforward by Reece, who, without pressure, convinced me the vehicle I was asking about was a real gem, even though I'd not yet been able to look at any photographs. Within hours of seeing photos of the Mercedes, a couple of phone calls with Reece and the essential web-checks of the company, we felt confident enough to secure the vehicle with a deposit (their status as an RAC 'Partner' gave us final re-assurance). Over the next few days, Reece maintained a regular contact over the finer details of our purchase and I was soon able to get down to a sunny Christchurch and collect our immaculately presented new car. The car was exactly as described, valeted to a gleaming showroom finish and I enjoyed a delightful drive back 'up North'. Why can't all car buying be like this?

I have just purchased a car from Car link and sold my previous car to them. I found the whole experience excellent. A first class service from a team who were able to help me from first contact. Reece was exceptional being extremely helpful, his knowledge and reassurance about the RAC checks done prior to the purchase really made me feel I was buying a quality car. Reece also helped me through the paperwork and was extremely polite. I would thoroughly recommend Carlink to anybody M Roberts
