What an absolute little gem to find while visiting Newquay. Me and my partner love pirate themed restaurants and this one is by far our favourite. We were greeted by lovely helpful staff and had excellent customer service all night long. The cocktails were lovely and the food was superb. I ordered the Crackpot chicken which came with fries, coleslaw and a side salad and it was honestly the most enjoyable dish i have had. My partner ordered the fried chicken burger which also came with fries and he absolutely loved it saying it is the best burger he has had. If you're not feeling too full then I can recommend the desserts which were very enjoyable. I had the brownie and ice cream which was warm and topped with a fresh strawberry while my partner enjoyed the waffle and ice cream. If you have time to spare then definitely head to the Kraken bar after for drinks. The atmosphere and service was second to none. Will definitely re visit next time we are in the area.
This place made me happy, originally planned going so. Ewhere else but they where fully booked, me and my partner ordered the Cornish Fruit de Mer each, disapointed there where no muscles however not as disappointed as I would have been if there had been as they where recalled, the food was delicious, staff where friendly, decor was brilliant,.
What a surprise to find this restaurant. Very nice place in the pirate theme. We arrive a bit late but the service was very good and the staff nice. We enjoyed a lot our fresh fish! And the kraken was the good cocktail to go with it!
Absolutely fantastic. One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The chicken burger I had was one of the best I've ever had and the staff were fantastic. Everything was fresh and the portion sizes were great. The menu is a little pricy but the food more than justifys the cost. The theming was very tastefully done and as a lover of Kraken rum it was a nice surprise to see how well it was integrated into the decor. I'm just gutted I'm leaving Newquay tommorow or I would definitely be back for more. We also tried the pirate bar and this too was great. It's a must visit if you are staying in the area or even passing through Note: there is also a carpark opposite that is free after 4pm every day other than Sunday which is well worth using if your out of town.
Excellent food and service. The nautical themed restaurant was great and the staff were very friendly. The rum cocktails were lovely too. Would definitely recommend.
Loved it. Very in theme. Lovely friendly staff. Food cooked perfectly. We had the grill sharer and for the price of £45 there was way more food than for two of us, but it all tasted great and we even got to take away some of our leftovers.
Great design, good friendly service and food was tasty. Enjoyed it and would go back.
Had to wait over an hour for our food!!! Waitress said our order had not gone through to the kitchen, she said it would be with us within 6mins. By now we couldn't believe a word, we were so paranoid we then watched them serve a further 3 tables. We went and highlighted this to our waitress who then brought our food which was really nice. This is why i give it 2 stars rather than 1. I think in most cases, most of us would expect to be treated with respect and accept an offer of a free drink or dessert......not here, they carried on as if nothing happened and then charged full amount. We could only assume this kind of thing is quite common Shame really.............
1st time in Newquay & visited here as my m8 rated it highly, he wasn't wrong. service was very good and friendly and the food was great. It is on the pricey side but worth it. We will be coming back. As the are only open from 6pm to 12am I would pre book to avoid disappointment
Great birthday meal out, the food was so nice, the staff were really nice, really recommend this restaurant.
