Jon Buoys may not look the most appealing place but the food is exceptionally good. He seems to have a secret batter recipe for the fish that does let all the grease stick to it. Fantastic tasting fish and chips

Food was ok. However owner had no bedside manner, stone face, no smiles. Rude to his staff and customers alike. Engaging with this guy for even a minute is enough to mess up your day! I asked his staff member to swap a cheap looking kids drink full of (sugars and colouring) that came with the kids meal for a water, and offered to add on extra money for the swap; she obliged and was later savaged by said owner who refused to swap the drinks and proceeded to give me frosty looks until the end of the transaction. Would not recommend, there's plenty of other fish and chip shops (with friendly staff!) around!

Not as bad as the other reviews are saying! Had a nice meal here - I chose the battered burger and chips while my partner had cod and chips - while the cod was a little bland, the food in general was pretty good. Plenty of seating outside and close to the beach! It was fairly busy when we got there but we didn't have to wait long for our meals which were well cooked and warm, and we managed to get seats!

Possibly the worst chips I've ever had the misfortune to suffer. Overpriced, greasy & practicly inedible. I'd like to say something positive like the owner was a nice guy but he appeared an ignorant tyrant lecturing his young staff member. Nice view of the Atlantic is the best thing I can say about this culinary disaster
