Such a nice place! We came for drinks after work and managed to enjoy the sun outside! They actually have deck chairs inside and out and it felt so relaxed! Great spot and great service! Eventually we decided to grab a few bites so walked in to eat inside, it was delicious!
A pleasant modern airy take on the "pub". A fine selection of beers and wines on offer. Lovely, friendly service from the staff. Very convenient for Cannon Street station. A good place to drink
Nice pub close to Cannon Street station. Has a large selection of beers, spirits and wine. It also serves food
Nicely located pub, warm & cosy. Service was good. However, we were surprised that steaks are either medium or well-done, i.e you cannot have it rare/medium rare. As a result, the burger was okay but the steak was so chewy that it was inedible. To conclude, it’s a fine place if you’re really hungry and need a meal but if you’re looking for an incredible steak experience, better save your money for somewhere else. Edit: we told our waitress about the steak and she deducted 10% from the overall bill, which we appreciated.
Went here for a business lunch, they made the meeting very challenging almost rushing us throughout eventhough there were plenty of empty tables, the bill came to the table while we were still eating and they wanted payment while I had food left on my plate to eat. The food was okay but nothing to shout about. The noise levels were quite high which also did not work well for a business lunch. Long story short, go there if you want a speedy lunch, don't bother for a business lunch/meeting... The staff were also rude, and seemed to have a misplaced arrogance about them.
There was a lovely young polite man serving me I had the best night and not once did he take long to serve us also I do want to say there was a girl that looked Turkish behind the bar that was also so polite and I can thank the both of them for a lovely night - written by the bar tender. Great place
Nice modern bar to meet friends in after work. Great location right opposite Cannon Street Station. Youngs beer on tap. Food was pretty good too, not too expensive.
Team event on this venue. Big table and planty of space. Music is nice but depending on size you need to move around to speak to people. Good service and food. Limited selection of shared platters but still good enough.
It’s was a nice place but my experience was, unfortunately, marred by the lack of professionalism of some staff. After having to wait a while to be served. I was, from how it came across, interrogated by a different member of staff for making a complaint. To be clear, I did not make any complaints. The person who served me was clearly frustrated at the others for not “pulling their weight” - I was only sympathising with said person and at no point made a complaint. To management - if your member of staff are unhappy with each other they should be resolving this between themselves and not weaponise your customers. And even if a customer did make a complaint without merit. There’s no need to confront and interrogate them, just simply dismiss it behind doors.
A truly cavernous place offering many food and drink options. Directly opposite Cannon Street mainline station - unfortunately the street area is a maze of roadworks for some considerable time now - but don’t let that put you off. As you walk in, the first section feels like an upmarket coffee bar; the middle section like a hotel bar; and, the rear is a restaurant. I really enjoyed the feel of the bar section - a decent range of beers/lagers and a very attractive selection of spirits/wines. Light bites in this area are served from 3pm. Modern decor with an industrial-style ceiling. Open for two years now, I believe. A very good option in the area. PS. I forgot to mention the hard-working, friendly staff!
