This site is clean tidy and very spacious. Joy is friendly chatty and always willing to help with local information and suggestions. We had a larger tent and pitched on a slight slope but this was not a problem and there was plenty of space to not have to do this if we had wished. Several areas have been flattened for slightly smaller tents if campers want to use them. The use of a picnic bench is very useful. The walk to the local pub is 5 minutes and although there are no paths if you are sensible it is quite safe. The wet rooms were compact but had everything you need and were constantly kept clean and tidy. Use of the fridges and freezers in this hot summer was very beneficial. Free WiFi was useful and the signal reached our tent over halfway down the field without any issues. Would recommend this site to anyone who wants a quiet friendly site.
Just back form a fantastic couple of days camping. Totally relaxed after visiting the local tourist attractions, followed by a restful nights sleep in super quiet surroundings. The pitches are huge and all the facilities are great. There are 3 fridge freezers, 2 washing up areas, a toilet/shower room for Lords and one for the Ladies and one other additional toilet so you won't get caught short! The hosts are wonderful and I will return. Highly recommended. The price is right too.
We have just returned after almost 2 weeks at Hedgehog Corner and what a fabulous time we have had in this glorious weather. The campsite is lovely never packed always lots of room between pitches and is lovely and peaceful. Great facilities provided lovely clean showers with plenty of hot water and the fridge freezers were a godsend given the hot weather. Joy is as her name suggests she is lovely and friendly and we thorougly enjoyed our morning chats by the shower room. We miss it already and cannot wait to return next year. Thank you Joy we had a wonderful time and the butcher and wife will definitely be back!!
Well what a couple of fantastic day's i've just had staying at Hedgehog Corner! Joy the campsite owner is amazing, so welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed our conversations and if you ever needed any advice or info on the surrounding area Joy will help you. The campsite itself was great, really large pitches, loads of space, I felt comfortable my whole time there. Showers and toilets were well stocked and clean, it is really hard to fault this place. I fully reccomend it. Thank you Hedgehog Corner for having me.
Lovely peaceful campsite, couples or solo's only. Lots of room between pitches / tents in the large field. Bathroom and shower set up very homely. Close to Lyme Regis and River Cottage HQ. Would recommend for anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing time away.Service: 5/5
What a marvellous visit. Joy was very welcoming and friendly on arrival and was easy to find if we needed anything. Facilities were some of the nicest and well organised I have experience at any camp site. The field was exceedingly spacious. This combined with no children made this an incredibly peaceful site. We pitched at the very top of the field for maximum peace. This did leave us at the edge of the wifi signal no signal when it rained and a few disconnects and a bit of a trek to the facilities but was a worthwhile pay off. The pitch was on a slight slope but was no bother. Pitches lower down in the field looked to be fully levelled. If you are used to city public transport to get about, be prepared for the countryside version. Buses and taxis are limited so plan ahead. Wonderful site, wonderful holiday. Clearly a lot of care goes into the site. We are highly likely to book again for our next Lyme Regis visit. Thank you.
Large enough for 10 pitches, you don't feel on top of each other. Good unlimited hot showers, clean bathrooms. A bit dicey getting to the nearest bus stop but taxis know this place very well and it's about 15 mins to Lyme Regis. The host is very friendly and welcoming.
Stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. Facilities were always clean and tidy. Wifi was free and could connect from my tent which was crazy. Its super fast too so you can even stream videos. Very quiet and frienly atmosphere and only 7 mins to Lyme Regis town in the car. Would recommend for couples looking for a quiet get away.
Idyllic spot to camp if you want a quiet, peaceful break. We loved it. Good clean facilities, great showers and lots of hot water, ample recycling and large fridge freezers!! Bliss!! Joy is very friendly and helpful.
Loved camping here. Lots of space between the tent pitches. Good clean hot showers. Fridges and freezers to store your food. Sink for washing up. And the best bit is no kids and no dogs !
