Rooms are clean and comfortable, and there are plenty of storage and refreshments. There is a vending machine in the lobby with lots of bits you may have forgotten to bring to buy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Had food in the restaurant and had breakfast, and both were lovely. Rooms: Spacious with plenty of storage. Clean and comfortable. Nearby activities: Close to the motorway so easy access to lots of different activities in the area. Safety: Card entry to get into the room hallways, card entry to hotel rooms with cameras on the hallways. Lock on the inside of the hotel door with an additional interior door from the hotel door and the bedroom. Food & drinks: Very nice evening food, not got loads of options but it's not needed. The food ordered was lovely and good portion sizes. Breakfast was self serve with both hot and cold options that was regularly topped up so nobody missed out on any option. Drinks at the bar were good and reasonably priced. Noteworthy details: Great short stay hotel would definitely recommended.
Staff on the front desk were very friendly and helpful, those behind the bar less so. Rooms are dated, very dated and worn. Window didn't seal properly so let a lot of external noise in, carpets stained, room smelt of paint. Beds comfortable enough, and bathroom fine. Fine for a short, cheap overnight stay. Location good if you drive.
What do you expect? It's a budget hotel, and a cheap one at that. The location is on an industrial estate and Google Maps gave an unnecessarily convoluted route involving a long approach over a winding country lane. Check the map for a simpler and quicker route if coming from the South. There is plenty of free parking on site. Public areas of the hotel are clean and cheerfully decorated; our guest room was so-so, looking like it had a cheap repaint hoping to improve it. The carpet was stained but the bed was comfortable, the bed linen and towels clean and fresh. Plenty of storage spaces but only one chair - a wooden one, so nil marks for comfort. Fortunately our stay was only for one night. We had the included breakfast, typical budget fare, but we were offered fried eggs and I'm glad I accepted because it was really good, just the way I like them with the yolk still soft. Would we stay there again? No, not even for the fried eggs.
Many thanks to Maisie on reception for helping with a personal issue. Good place to stay as a base for work. Breakfast was good, breakfast staff were excellent. Room was basic, window didnt seal to it was very cold and noisy - you get what you pay for, no complaints. In a good location off the m606, if you drive it is a good stop over place.
Room was adequate, clean bedding and decoration but carpets dirty and stained. Curtains had splits in backing so showed light through. Also got charged £15 for one small dog. I did not know the charge until the day I was due there.Rooms: 3/5
Room was ok toilet pan had a big dirty brown mark at the back from dripping watter. Think the wall separateing the toilet and the sink with the bath is a stupid thing but beding was clean bed comfortable dinner was a let down but breakfast was nice. Oh and no soap in the soap dispenser some staff looked very miserable but were helpfully Rooms: As sed room was okay just the pan having the brown line and the pan being separated from the bath and sink
Have stayed here before, thought would try again but regretted it; sink was blocked - they suggested i use towels to empty the water .. heating stopped working 2nd night, reception were very helpful but could not resolve it - apparently it is known that ground floor rooms 3-7 have had this problem for some time and looking at past reviews - looks like the same problem occurred 2 yrs ago .. still not fixed... they offered us another room - same problem..gave us an extra duvet and small heater ... as others mentioned - fire alarm came on twice over 2 nights.. was told some drunks set it off by opening fire doors.. no toilet brush .... however - had nice breakfast overlooking the garden - staff very helpful, reception staff exceptionally helpful, were clearly embarrassed by the faulty heating, which is a known issue, and has still not been fixed; we will not stay here again ...
Was running late so called Hotel to check if I was going to okay to check in if I arrived after 2am.. The reception said I will be okay until 1am but would not be able to check in after that.. A little concerned I asked if I would still be charged if I couldn't make it in time. He replied no you won't be charged if it's a no show. I have been charged for the room and the management won't issue refund and have nothing to say about me being advised that I wouldn't be charged. I will never book a room at a Campanile ever again.
Great hotel at a good location. Staff very friendly, easy to check in and rooms were spacious. Breakfast option available also.Rooms: 5/5
