Had an early Christmas gathering here with my geographically diverse family ! Great set up, plenty of space and cooking facilities, and the rooms were spot on ! Even a rainy November weekend here didn’t put anyone off sitting in the hot tub in the evening with a beer or three. I’d love to see the place in the spring or summer ! Highly recommended
We had a wonderful time at Camley Lodge as a group of 8 adults and 8 children. The accomodation was very spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was fantastic with everything needed to make meals for a large group. John and Paula were great hosts and very kind and helpful. The location is brilliant with lots of nearby walks and places to visit. Views from the property were absolutely amazing and we all enjoyed spending time in the garden and relaxing in the hot tub. Can't wait to visit again!
What a fabulous place. Have spent 3 nights here and can highly recommend, Paula and john are wonderful hosts and nothing is to much trouble, the atmosphere is so relaxed. Room was a good size and very clean. Dined in 2 nights and breakfast each day the food was amazing. Such a lovely peaceful break in beautiful surroundings. Thank you for such a lovely break we will most definitely be back.
We loved our stay at Cameley Lodge! It was very warm, welcoming and accommodating from the very start. John and Paula were incredibly helpful and nothing at all was to much trouble. We had a full breakfast which was perfect very hot and was ready when we come down. It even has a hot tub which was an added bonus. There are many views and wonders and views locally but lovely to escape the country after an enjoyable day in bath. Would definitely recommend it
Fabulous family weekend at Cameley Lodge. Paula and John were fantastic hosts. The house is lovely, lots of space inside and out, with beautiful gardens and an amazing view across the lake to wake up to. Clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. English breakfast was delicious! Would definitely visit again.
If I could give more stars I would. John and Paula were the nicest and most helpful people. We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights. Arrived late due to weather, we were glad we had pre booked an evening meal. It was a delicious home cooked meal, perfect after the long drive. Breakfast was also delicious, with great service. On the Sunday we asked for a simple off menu meal when we returned from a day site seeing, which was produced as requested. The most yummy home made chips and sandwiches. The rooms were clean and our room had the most amazing view out over pond. We highly recommend this hotel, will be more than happy to use again. Thank you John and Paula.
Nice, family-owned and indeed quiet place. Some of the best water pressure I've ever had in a shower, and that was in a top-floor room. The drinks wines are a bit overpriced for what you get, hence the slight downgrade. But overall good value for money in this area.
Thank you so much! Cameley hosted several of our family members and today the wake for my Dad who sadly recently passed. Paula & John the owners as well as having a fantastic property in a beautiful countryside setting, along with their staff, are the most amazing hosts. They were even fantastic with our 5 year old. You could not wish for anything more. From walking in the door you are made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Service is without question the best I have experienced anywhere. The food, outstanding. It was obviously a sad situation, but not having to worry about the running of anything or if our guests were ok allowed our family and friends to pay their respects and share memories. I would not hesitate to recommend Cameley Lodge for any event or even an overnight stay. Paula & John, thank you so much from myself, brother, mum and the rest of the family!
This is such a lovely peaceful place to stay John & Paula are the best hosts who are but friendly and professional and kind going out of their way to make sure your stay is the best it can be. I thoroughly recommend this excellent and beautiful hotel. The food at Cameley Lodge is absolutely fantastic and John is a superb chef every time I have stayed here he has surpassed my expectations. The rooms are a good size clean and comfortable and the whole setting is an absolute get away from everything surrounded by fields and a beautiful lake who wouldn’t want to stay here!
My parents Dawn and Roger Colman visited here for Sunday lunch on Sunday 3rd March. They loved it. Food was outstanding and the service was amazing as well. Really nice atmosphere to enjoy a Sunday lunch. They are looking forward to returning for another Sunday dinner and also will be visiting for a Saturday evening meal as well. Highly recommend to everyone. This place is a real hidden gem.
