This is an exceptional, hidden bookshop in London. They have a great selection at fair prices and not only do they possess a particularly good range of speculative fiction as well as literary and other genre fiction, but also utopian fiction which is my area of research and passion. Moreover, it is always friendly and accommodating. If you're going from Old Street Station, it would be worth seeing what they have to offer.

A great place to buy books. It has an excellent range of stock sold at RRP and a well chosen table of remaindered titles at up to half price. It leans to the literary - which I suppose is to be expected  of a bookshop located by a tube station - but you'll find a useful selection of non-fiction available.

Always worth checking the racks outside and the table inside for quality, brand new bargain books. Literary fiction, music, politics, history and sci-fi feature strongly. There's also a good selection of cards, and fans of Moleskine notebooks are well catered for.

Great little book shop in Old Street Station. Has an excellent selection across a variety of genres. Feels like a book shop should and I could honestly browse in there for hours. Just a shame there aren't many others like it knocking about.

A cave of treasures.  The bargain books table means you are sure to leave without your bag empty. Superb titles for less than 3 quid.  The staff are always unimposing, so you can get lost in literary universes at your leisure.

Been coming here since first working in the area back in 2002 and sad to see it go, although I did take advantage of the closing sale to clean them out of ECM CDs. A great selection, and I hope to one day drag myself to the other side of London and visit Burley Fisher books. Thanks for the books on everything from African-American culture to Sarah Kane's plays.

Adorable little bookstore with a delightfully eclectic mix of books. A kind and friendly owner too! I had to stop myself at five books but I could easily buy many more!

Yesterday I found the book my daughter wanted, RRP 9.99, 6.99 eligible for free delivery from Amazon, 8.65 with free home delivery from hive.co.uk. Wanted to support local bookshop so decided to go to Camden Lock bookshop and showed entry on hive to the young lady at the counter, was told it would be here today, left name and mobile number. Got the txt saying it's arrived, then disappointed to be charged full RRP for the privilege. Was told that they had to charge RRP or would lose profit... despite pointing out I could have ordered via Hive and collected from same shop, presumably at much less profit. I was told that I should order via Hive instead in future!  This leaves a sour taste, and a distinct feeling that I've been overcharged by up to 30%... Hardly an incentive to actually order there ever again, via Hive or otherwise.

I think I've just found an addition to my favourite places. Could I please live here for a while? : Great selection of books and low prices. Very helpfull service.

Found the book I was looking for, after visiting 4 other arts book shops in Shoreditch. How can I not give it 5 stars?! Very helpful staff and eclectic range of books on sale.
