Very good guitar shop. It has some other instruments such as ukulélés, basses.... But as the name of the shop indicates, it is focused on guitars. The atmosphere is really nice, and I found some miniature guitars which are very nice and well designed. The people working there are kind and friendly. I recommend.
Five star experience! Brandon the store manager was incredibly nice and helpful, restringing my guitar and throwing in a free service! in just two hours. Pricing is very reasonable and all around a great service.
I got my encore Strat from here and I love it, I also come in semi-regularly to look at the guitars and browse their books + records. They always have a good selection of items and the staff are so friendly!
5 Stars Shop and Service and very welcoming and nice staff I definitely recommend this place Thank you for my Guitar Service.
Nothing screams “Camden” like a music shop bang in the middle of Camden situated between Chalk Farm and Camden Town station opposite the market itself, this music shop is like a treasure trove for musicians, it feels really old school meaning that you feel the shopping experience as soon as you walk through the door. This shop is owned by a Brazilian who not only sells all types of guitars but also makes his own. You feel the need to spend ages just looking around in the hope that you might find a classic, if not instrument then a classic vinyl album. You can get your guitar restrung or pickup a lovely percussion piece. They have some great drums and a really wide range of guitars Camden guitars is one of those shops you hope never ever closes down because of the hands on shopping experience and the knowledge behind the counter. Not only is the owner a great guitarist but he also plays the bass equally as good. Neves has filled this shop with such a wide range of musical instruments that it’s a must visit. I bought a cajón from this shop last year and I still love it. Let me know what you think when you visit.
We visited as a family of 5, Mum, Dad and kids 4, 8 and 12 for the "WeJam" session. A very cool guitar shop you can lose yourself in just strolling around. Staff are amazing, really friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our session was overseen by Jade, she made us all feel instantly at home in the basement "Jam room". She was fantastic with the kids and patient and understanding with them wanting to swap instruments every other song.Drums are mentally fun! A really great hour of fun for families and something totally different to the usual days out. Cannot praise high enough we all totally loved it and will definitely be back again !
A bit of a scam in my opinion. Went there to trade an acoustic with a classical. My guitar’s value as new is £300 but I know the price was not about to be that one as second hand even if in perfect condition as never used, got it for Christmas but never had time. The classical one they had exposed costs as new around £200 on any website and they were selling it for £289 second hand. Absolutely same model. They valued my guitar £50 and they offered to trade with the classical asking me to put on top £230. Madness! When I showed the value of the guitar to the shop assistant and how their math didn’t make any sense he acknowledged the nonsense and asked the owner, who still was pricing mine as £50 but decided to trade for £150 - math still not making any sense. I left the shop as this is taking the piss a bit. I didn’t want to make any money out of the trading, but even not losing all of that as I could have bought that model new for £200 online and still have the acoustic. Don’t really know what to think about this if not scamming people. Go elsewhere.
What an exception, eclectic collection of guitars and other music instruments. Very cool place in Camden. A must to visit for any wannabe or real guitar hero.
We went here to browse for an acoustic guitar with electric pick up. We found the store had a good range of guitars, both new and preowned. They ranged in price from a reasonable £89 to an eye watering £1699! The guy running the store was very patient, and he talked us through the different types in stock. He answered plenty of questions and we narrowed down to one guitar. He demonstrated it for us and let my partner try it out for size and feel. He was then happy to leave us to chat about it, without any pressure. In the end we bought it, although it wasn't our plan. It was ideal for what my partner was looking for and a very good price too. We'd certainly recommend going to this store. Very helpful, friendly and comfortable experience.
The staff were super helpful. Gave me additional tools and extra tips for tuning my guitar
