Currently under development to bring it back to its original glory and be available for private and council events. About 9-12 months until its relaunch.
Lovely venue for a Hare Krishna event Hall can accommodate 400 to 800 comfortably Staff are super helpful Also love the upstairs seating!
Performed here. Great spacious venue to accommodate the huge rush of crowd for the Autumn puja festivities, located conveniently next to King's Cross station. But in need of renovation which is happening currently. Would love to see it re-open soon.
Staff were extremely helpful with the registration of death.
Visited London's Beer Drinkers festival here venue is closing so last festival event here and was pleasantly surprised by the location and ambience.Building currently has decor like a traditional Shakespearean theatre but with a large centre stage suitable for concerts and seating in the upper floor. Good centre floorspace for events and an impressive atrium again in traditional style. May change its form / style hence the more descriptive review but a pleasant place to visit at time of review
The place. Although beautiful and with character has seen better days and really needs some TLC particularly the smaller rooms and the bathroom that are very dated. The wood work is impressive and things like doors and corridors can surprise you. But as a venue to hire avoid it until it gets renovated.
Super-convenient to get to. The venue itself is wonderful with a great floor for dancing, and a neatly located bar at the back for catering. NB: The urinals in little boys' room are archaic.
Big municipal hall. Near Paddington station. Been for public meeting and beer festival. Easy to get to. Good acoustics. Basic facilities fine, but not a very smart venue.
Beware the seating are unstable fold up chairs. Did not like that the venue was full and at the end of the evening we had to queue to get out. Is it expensive to open more than one door after an event? So that it takes 5 minutes to exit instead of 20 mins.
A massive public buildings heated all year but the staff of this venue won't even let the rough sleepers rest on the steps. They pour water on the steps to move the homeless along. Gentrification of London. ..no humanity Wake up Jeremy Corbyn this is happening under your nose! !!!!
