Easy location to find after coming of the ferry.nRooms were clean with comfortable mattress. Was a layer of dust on the tv but overall, it was very good.nBathroom immaculate with great power on the shower.nFood was outstanding, we had dinner and breakfast there, and breakfast was one of the best.nStaff helpful and friendly.
People- The people were nice.nnRooms –This place feels a bit like a dorm room. Outdated, but it was good enough without any frills. No AC, but it had good amount of hot water.nnFood - I would not waste my money on the breakfast, I wound up paying for breakfast and then just going next door to eat. Their dinner however was great! I had their salmon 2 nights in a row.nnBeckett and sons are next door and have wonderful clean food and a great atmosphere!
The staff make this otherwise average hotel... The nice wee lassie on reception to the 2 bar lads were 1st class.nThe evening meal was good enough... though expensive..nThe noise in the room during the night was substantial.. someone singing? beds were comfortable enough. no spoons for morning tea in the room
This hotel has very poor management, when we arrived late in the evening and I enquired at reception because we had been given a double bed after specifically requesting & booking singles as I was travelling for work, the manager was quick to tell me “I got what I booked” when I explained I had all my booking information printed out he checked the computer and found he was in fact wrong. I hadn’t “got what I booked” The room was tired & dirty, lots of rust on accessible shower fixtures. The pest control traps being visible at the head of the bed was very off putting.nThe pictures shown of hotel on website are obviously very outdated or they are from a different part of the hotel. Total agree with other reviews when they say avoid this hotel. Even the local taxi drivers said this was the worst of the 3 hotels owned by the same person. Although we paid as a package with a tour group I’m shocked at what they charge, per night, Not even a decent cup of coffee in the place.
Really pleased with our stay, the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, basic but lovely. Love the Harris tweed curtains and chairs!nThe Elevens restaurant next door was delicious and the hotel accommodates dogs for £15 per night which was perfect for us!
