When you cook mussels they need to cooked in the sauce and not added to it. These were not only a good size but cooked to perfection , lovely onion and cream sauce. Best in St Ives. Very popular as it’s on the Wharf overlooking the harbour - try and get a window seat. Highly recommended .
Average and predictably overpriced. But what a fantastic location. You know what you're gonna get if you stop at a place like this. Average service, average food and a beautiful location. Nothing wrong here. But know what to expect before you sit down.
The mussels are very good but the squid was quite the opposite. The squid is just cut into too small bits and seems no squid taste. It is also a bit sweet which is weird. The squid is rather disappointing. Staff generally friendly and toilet not clean.
Great location with the view of the sea. We chose to sit inside since it was too hot outside and the seagulls are watching you! Loved that we were entertained immediately once we have arrived in the place. We went here for dessert. We ordered their Cornish Dairy Ice cream, traditional Italian Tiramisu, beer, squid for appetizer, summer fruit trifle. The Cornish Dairy ice cream was the best one i have ordered here. i really wasn’t a fan of the Tiramisu since it was too bitter for me. The squid was tasty and savoury! We loved it.
Today we’ve visited this caffe with my friends. Ordered 2 pastas with seafood and caprese salad. Taste of the pasta is really upsetting, not the best I’ve had and it had shattered mussel shells in it. Place is very overpriced. Not good, not terrible. Definitely not the best place to try native Italian cuisine. P.S The toilets is straight up from Chernobyl.
Went early as I know that I’ll get busy on lunch time and was already busy but with 2 unoccupied tables. They greeted really nice to me and my family and we’re seated straight away. Got the drinks and the starters quite fast even though it was getting busier but the staff was amazing that’s why got 2 stars I’ve ordered 3 pizzas for my little one, my wife and me. Everything was nice even though it was missing some spicy from my pizza n’duja but was ok until I felt a massive crack while eating that hurt my gums a lot, even my implant was hurting because of the pressure and what a surprise that we’ve found a piece of ceramic with the same colour of the plate inside my pizza… Called the waitress that automatically gave the piece to the kitchen to confirm. 3 minutes later she came back with another pizza, this time with n’duja and without ceramic and told us that I would not be charged for the pizza. We’ve finished and went to the beach for a bit. Next day my gum was hurting a bit but I didn’t pay attention as I thought it will pass but came back to London after an amazing week in Cornwall and the pain was getting more intense and after checking in the mirror it turns out that my filling was exposed little bit missing and blue and now I’m waiting for an emergency appointment with my dentist to check what’s going on. I’ve been trying to contact them through social media as there’s no email address on the website and I don’t want any verbal confirmation, everything must be written and there’s no answer, no one replies, totally ignored. I’m not willing to pay for something that is not right and a dentist bill is expensive, I know accidents happen but ceramic inside my pizza was the top! If it happens to my little one it would been worse. UPDATE: NO ONE CARES, I need to spend nearly £3000 pounds between 2 crowns and restorative treatments because of this accident and no one takes responsibility, an absolute shame that no one is answering or replying.
Perfect place for a lovely meal. Incredible views, food is always spot on too. Definitely recommend booking well in advance though as it gets full up very quickly for obvious reasons! One of our trusty faithful’s, Can’t wait to go back!
Went for an evening meal that we booked food and service was excellent in the best place in Cornwall as far as I am concerned st ives
Food was absolutely beautiful, squid and carbonara was probably the best I've had. My trip to St Ives was topped off coming here.Food: 5/5
Right at the front of the Harbour having beautiful views. Saturday morning was the only cafe open at the front and couldn't really resist. So warm and cozy for a freezing weather, welcoming service and beautiful menu. We had coffee and breakfast and it was delicious. Great variety and quality. Coffee and tea was great too. Nice atmosphere, not too crowded. Attentive service and also very polite. Will be returning. Highly recommended Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available with great options
