Our hot dogs are New York style & produced in the UK using 100% free-range oak smoked pork. Our fries are hand-cut & double fried. We also stock a great selection of craft beers; on draught, in bottles or in cans, as well as a choice of Origin coffee, our special recipe malt-shakes and soft drinks. At HUBBOX, food and the provenance of our suppliers is something we are fiercely proud of. We are Vegan friendly and have specials each month alongside a seasonally changing menu. We ate here a few times, we loved the breakfast and the dinner too. Our daughter had the pancakes for breakfast which she loved. Its right on the sea front and they had a singer on one of the times we visited. The staff were all amazing a big thank you to them for working the dreaded new year shifts couldn't fault them or the place at all. Definitely a place to visit especially for breakfast too.
Had dinner here last night and managed to bag a seat up stairs on the balcony with the most stunning view of the harbour. Food exceeded my expection. Burgers were delicious and the onion rings were the best I have ever had along with the mac and cheese!! It was really quiet in the restaurant like everywhere think everyone has gone abroad this year but we were told there would be a 30min wait on food which we were happy with. Highly recommend, had a fab meal. P.s kids menu is super small and limited.
First time here, there was a fridge malfunction the night before so quite a lot of things were off the menu. We ordered a chicken burger and a beef burger. I would have liked something different but they're not to blame. Food was hot tasty and filling staff were friendly and the place was kept clean. Booking is highly advisable as a lot of people were being turned away and those already seated were in no hurry to leave especially those over looking the harbour.
Great tasty burgers and cheesy chips! Friendly staff too. A little wait at busy time but nothing unexpected. Limited choice of desserts but I'm not sure how I had room for one after the burger and chips!! Would definitely recommend and would return if I'm back in the area. Parking: There's limited pay and display parking within walking distance Wheelchair accessibility: There a couple of separate small steps at the entrance but shouldn't stop a wheelchair from getting in
Really enjoyed this place Good selection of food to cater for all dietary requirements. Veggie options were good...as were the really meaty. Everybody was friendly and accommodating and very baby friendly The tables aren't crammed in so there's space to sit and enjoy conversation without it being incredibly loud. Dog friendly Best food we've had on our trip to Cornwall. This will definitely become a return spot for us.
This place was the first stop of our trip. We was welcomed by a very friendly girl on entrance who also told us some good places to go on our trip which was great.. The menu had lots to pick from and the two meals we picked were both very nice.
Well this was a let down tonight. Such a shame as it was highly recommended to us and we also looked at the reviews. Front of house staff now they were five stars they answered the questions we had and also very helpful and friendly. One of the best front of house staff I have met. Now the kitchen seems to be run by kids swearing and seem to not care. Touching food and taking chips from the plates. Not professional. My burger was very dry and the cheese was very tasteless. Such a shame as we walked by this place in the afternoon and seemed great. Maybe it was just us I don't know. Don't think we will go here again. Again front of house five stars!
This is our second visit to Hub. Last year we got take-out due to the on-going Covid situation, however this year we sat in and managed to net a window/balcony table on the first-floor which was lucky. Great views over the harbour! We ordered chicken burgers plus a side of chips. I think I may of been too hungry as I don’t really remember eating mine, woofed it down in a matter of seconds ‍. It was tasty, if very messy however. I feel it could of been bigger, as could the fries which also were very tasty. One thing that spoilt it was a group of French people also dining on the balcony, who despite the signs decided it was fine to all smoke!! I decided against saying anything to them as I was out for dinner with my partner and so didn’t want any upset. Maybe signage needs to be more obvious ‍
We had the PB Hub burger, The Mac Daddy burger and some skin on fries made "dirty". Service was really good and the food was excellent. Dog friendly too which is always good. Will definitely visit again and would highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Lots of choice Parking: No parking on site
Great burgers with wide choice from vegan to meat. Hid here from the rain on a wet October day as I was with my teenager son but I ended up really enjoying my ‘alternative’ burger of mackerel and beetroot with sweet potato fries.
