The only chipper in Kilkenny that make nice food and know how to serve it in a pleasant and organized fashion. For some reason the rest of the Kilkenny chippers think they can throw garbage at you while barking and people will queue up. Not this spot. Anyway back to Roma grill. Great food great service. Salad burger is a thing of glory. Absolutely delightful

Nice food. Owners are very friendly, and have a welcoming manner about them. Most of the staff are pleasant also. But one or two staff members there could do with learning to not go around with a facial expression on them as if they just hate their job. Overall though it's well worth the money to eat there.
Everywhere I go,I've tried to get a burger that can beat the Special Salad Burger out of the Roma.Many a country across 3 Continents & nothing has even come close!! Cooked by the Man with No Expression,it is hands down "THE" best burger you will ever taste.That is only 1 thing on the Roma's menu.I haven't even begun to tell you about their amazing Pizza, Hot Dogs, Chicken Burgers or anything else...Do you know what,just go try it,you will not be disappointed!!!
Went to the Roma café in John's Street after the Waterford Wexford match today Service was very good, pizza and chips of a high standard, washed down by a comforting cup of tea. La dolce vita quotodienne!
Wow! Whatever you do.... make sure you get the salad burger. Its by far the best chipper burger you will ever stick in your gob! Unbelievable stuff. And as usual the chips are savage
It wasn't long before Christmas and the hunger levels were at an all time high. I was faced with a question; what chipper will I go to? The Roma cafe? "It's the best chipper in Kilkenny they say". "I heard it's the first chipper in Kilkenny they say". "My Mam used to go there all the time I heard". Sounds good to me I thought. Let's go. Foot on accelerator, and I was on my way. With a left turn here and a right turn there. Here a left. There a left. Everywhere a left left. Boom. Parked. Doors fly open as I step into the Kilkenny night and walk towards the lights of the Roma cafe across the road. As I enter I am greeted with a friendly hello. My attention quickly turns to the menu on the wall; burgers, hotdogs, chicken burgers, pizzas and more!! As you can imagine the excitement began to mount. And as it mounted my judgement wained. Again I was forced to make a difficult decision. Which delicious item should I choose?? Well, chips of course. That's a given. After all, I am standing in what is rumoured to be the best chipper in Kilkenny. And we all know what makes a chipper a chipper is it chips. But what should sit along side those salty chunks of joy?? The answer; Chicken fillet burger. Curry dip. Can of Coke zero! Bang! Order up. Fresh preparation begins." I am starved " I thought. The coke; perfectly chilled. The chips; cooked to perfection. The chicken fillet burger; fresh. Beautifully cooked. The dip; a joy. Guess what. The rumors are true. This is probably the best chipper in Kilkenny. One of the best I've ever had. The grub was munched. my hunger was Quashed. My belly was happy and there was many a Guinness had that evening. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will be trying something else from that menu to sit proudly along side my chips. Cannot wait. I'm thinking "salad burger". I hear they're great.

Consistently providing good food in kilkenny for years. All the menu is cooked beautifully! Special salad burger is a must. Homely environment and staff are approachable and on the ready to assist.
