Had an amazing hen night in Breathnachs. Emmet & team were EXTREMELY accommodating. They went above and beyond to assist our large group. The service was absolutely top notch. Everyone spoke so highly about the food. Really nice atmosphere inside. Would highly highly recommend. Thanks again for an amazing evening Emmet!!
lovely food and great service. We were there early, 6pm, for dinner. it was quite, but great tunes playing. Bartender/waitress was friendly and helpful. lovely thin base pizza full of flavour and great steak with lovely fries and mushroom sauce. Would happily go back.Food: 5/5
Me and my husband had been drinking there for Saint Patrick’s Day and caught up with friends. Bar staff so kind and on the ball I was here before around Christmas time and was talking to the owner and he was just a great guy overall so we decided to return. As for the bouncers the way I seen them treat young girls at the doors last night seriously appalled me, they have great fun with their authority. An amazing pub but bouncers will let this place down.
I attended Breathnachs for a family get together including adults and kids. Roughly 20 of us. The staff that served us were friendly but that is the only good thing I can say about our experience. The service was slow, the food was mediocre at best with one person finding a lump of clingfilm in their chowder, another not receiving their starter until well after everyone else was finished theirs. This also happened with a main course where the wraps for the chicken fajitas appeared but the fajitas did not until well after everyone else had finished. One person's bottle of beer was a month out of date whist another persons bottle of coke was a full year out date. The only consistency about the night was the poor quality of the food across the board. When we asked to speak to the manager we were informed that the owner was present. She appeared and was overhead telling her staff that we could wait 10 mins. When she did speak to the person paying the bill she gave absolutely no apology blaming instead the fact that they were short staffed. There was however plenty of staff on and it was early 5.30 pm and the bar was not busy. I hope this review saves some other family from wasting their money and time.
We had a lovely lunch with real attention to detail for a few in our group that had various allergies and special requirements. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend! Vegetarian options: They accommodated a vegetarian in our group with a lovely burger. Kid-friendliness: We had a big group of kids and they provided juice and were really friendly Dietary restrictions: We had a coeliac and someone with a nut allergy and they were all given lovely safe food that they really enjoyed. Home made, confident of ingredients, separate oils, etc And it tasted fantastic!
Absolutely delightful lady served myself and my Mum. Great toastie and lovely pint of the black stuff while we watched the Ireland v France game. Ireland for the win!! Food: 5/5

Really nice bar and the food was good and reasonably priced. Also great staffFood: 5/5
Worst pint of Smithwicks I've ever tasted. Truly disgusting. Very cold reception from barman aswell - he looked like the gaffer. The rest of the staff were lovely though, will give them an extra start for being legends. Wouldn't recommend Look at this pint... I'm not a slow drinker by any means and this pint was as dead as a duck. Waste of €5 I worked hard to earn.
The service is great first class our waiter was such lovely and friendly guy. Very good at his job and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. I ordered the pizza and I wish I didn't. Too much topping and too thick not cut thin enough. Presentation looked great. However it was soft and soggy and chewy. It was undercooked and burned in all the wrong places. Too high of a temperature and the topping were just all over the place not finely sliced and just made a really bland pizza what a mess. Sorry Breathnach's that was not good food at all. My company liked their food they wouldn't complain sampled all 4 dinners and it was ok nothing special tbh which was so disappointing. I think my Jasmine tea was my favourite. Large portions you will not be disappointed by that. But the few final touches need working on. Your leather place mates were stuck to the table tops. That make me feel very put off. Chicken ceaser salad should not be served with a chicken leg as the meat really now that's just a no no and to an elderly person too! Let that pizza base cook longer, roll it thinner cook hotter and longer and less heavy topping and you would do a nice pizza. I ate to please my company but I would normally send something like that back in a heartbeat. I won't be back. It's Dublin prices at €14 euro for your pizza and a frozen pizza would have being much better. Sorry not for me at all.
