Story

Quite a few people ask whether we cater for coeliac sufferers. (Allergy or intolerance to wheat, rye and barley). Our pizza dough contains wheat flour but we always have gluten free pasta and various other dishes can be prepared without flour. Amongst others, our meat dishes and various starters also.

However please note that for those with a serious allergy to wheat flour we cannot guarantee a flour free environment. We have a wood burning pizza oven and our pizza chef is rolling and tossing pizza dough all day (on flour) from our open kitchen which means that the flour becomes airborne and can be inhaled.

On request, we provide cards for customers to fill in so that the kitchen can be made aware of any allergies.

We often also have dishes on our specials board that can be adapted or that don't involve flour.

With regards to lactose intolerant customers - quite a lot of our dishes would be suitable and others can be adapted to suit. We do use butter and cream in some dishes but this can be omitted We always have goats cheese and fresh buffalo mozzarella which some sufferers can tolerate?

We also have about 15 vegetarian dishes on our menu and as everything is mostly made to order - we can adapt most other dishes for vegetarians. We can, to a certain extent cater also for vegans. We use olive oil and butter but of course butter can be omitted and we can make up anything from the ingredients that we have that would be suitable for a vegan diet. Our pizza dough contains wheat flour, yeast and water.

Please be sure to mention to staff any allergies so that they can provide you with an allergy card to fill out.
