Mia Porto Due
Looking for a fun night out in Cardiff? Mia Porto Due is a kooky venue in The Old Brewery Quarter which has the look and feel of an old Portuguese tavern.
Porto Due was one of the longest-established family run restaurants in Cardiff, and was located in St Mary Street for over 20years. Throughout those years it has seen some changes but I have managed to keep its authentic rustic settings in our relocated Mia Porto Due 20 meters away in the old brewery quarter.
I took over in 2007 and kept to the originally style of Portuguese food tavern, but I also added a strong range of Italian dishes.
The Caramella family are known throughout Cardiff for their traditional Italian restaurants, and pride themselves in knowing about good food and wine, which Mia Porto Due most definitely has.
Mia Porto Due is my newest restaurant/bar specialising in Espetades (chicken/pork/beef or mixed of the three and fresh monkfish and tiger prawn, cooked on skewers and hung over your table soaked in flavour, also a steak house and pizzeria, It represents the same as Porto due but with a more modern feel, especially with our large plasma screens and modern deco.
We’ve taken our ideas from Porto due and inspirations to create some new specialised dishes and tasteful new wines. Why not try one of my favourites, Borrego!! Lamb shank served on a bed of mash potato soaked in a Portuguese red wine gravy and wash it down with one of our fine wines.
We are famous for it!
Mia Porto due is definitely a touch of Portugal and Italy right here in Cardiff!!
