For around 3 months in the Summer of 2017 I used to come here for a breakfast daily. After moving away I haven't visited since then however, being in the area on 14/4/18 with company we decided to call in for a breakfast. I paid for our meals upfront which cost around £16. Upon leaving, the woman made some conversation with us and we just continued towards the door. Before we got there the woman asked us for payment to which at first I thought she was joking, but the three female staff members stood there none the less very serious about payment. I then pointed at one I paid and explained how I'd just give her £20 and she gave me £4 change etc. Th female company I was with, who was obviously feeling highly embarrassed, as was I, also pointed out the lady and explained the same, who just stood there blank and clueless before replying "I can't remember".... Well PET! Maybe it's your job to remember who pays you before taking money off them, NEVERMIND humiliating PAYING customers! The lady who clearly owns the place, the battleaxe, even had the nerve to ask me not to come back, after we'd already pretty much clarified we'd 100% paid (of course we had paid). Yet for all the embarrassment the staff created the owner still wanted to keep the moral highground. Rather than apologise for their mistake she actually asked us not to come back instead. Well don't worry pet I hadn't planned to but I'll make sure to pass the message to all of my friends and people I know. And I hope you enjoy the review.

Great English breakfast, although there is not much seating space in the café. I was served within five minutes of ordering.
