I hire a car for the day from them probably a half dozen times per year and it's always been a quick and painless experience

Twice I have tried to rent a van for a day from Budget, and twice I was told that they need to 'check stock'.
So far, twice I have had to rent from Hertz instead as they never got back to me.
Called their main line to cancel, and as soon as I mentioned that I had to go elsewhere, they hung up on me.

You would have as much luck renting a van from me, and I don't own a van.
