Based in Kendal the gateway to the lake's, Brucie's Bike Shop has been established over 30 years. Selling and servicing bikes of all type's, from your top end Road racers, Mountain Bikes, BMX, Street, Fixies, Commute and all in between.
Bruce and Tony here are passionate about the sport in all it's form's.
Pop in to see our great range of Bikes and cycle good's. We also specialise in service's and repairs.

What a marvelous find! Complete supply of lights, accessories, parts, frames, vintage frames, parts, tyres, wheels... EVERYTHING a cyclist could want, and a very nice selection of clothing in all sizes. The best part is the kindness, knowledge, and helpfulness from the proprietor!
Sorry I didnt buy anything... however, just passing, the window display of the TDF made my day and the frames and kit in the shop made me smile. None of your 10k carbon posing bikes, proper kit with lovely people.
On way into Kendal Town I accidentally overloaded and bent the rear derailleur arm probably because I shifter gear whilst stationary I visited Brucies and they repaired the mechanism promptly and expertly whilst I waited. Very many thanks. Ubique Peter
Ok not a fan of writing negative reviews however here we go. I took my wife's bike a couple of years ago to get it serviced. The gears were not working properly I was charged approx 25 thats fine but it still never worked properly after the service. I thought oh well move on . A few years later i took my sons bike in , gears not working and specifically told him chain the keeps coming of . I collected bike still not working properly and took it back he had another go - still not working - returned the third time with my son and told him still not working his response was user error . I was dissapointed and too embarrassed to return and a even more disappointed i gave them another chance such a shame I really wanted to support a local independent . i also wanted the whole headset changing on my trial bike . I wont be going back sorry to say fool me once ....
Excellent service . Kept my Kuota on the road today by using a donor bike shifter. Would have taken 2 week's for the warranty claim - 5 star service Bruce saves the day once again as my original review above was 3 years ago now ! Today after my freehub Jammed, it was replaced while I went into town for a coffee - What a star
Absolutely fantastic took my bike in twice now for repairs and they fixed it immediately. Nothing is to much trouble for these guys. First class service and excellent prices, will definitely get my custom again, can't rate them highly enough.
Great little bike shop with expert mechanics who really know their stuff. If you've got a bike problem, this is the place to get it fixed.

I'll never forget as a youngster I bought a second hand bike from him, fully guaranteed he said. The front wheel jammed up. The next day I took it back. Something had been installed at the wrong size, he admitted. He snapped part of the the frame off trying to sort it. He then demanded, really aggressively, that I pay halves on a new frame. He'd already admitted it was his fault. Go halves or get out was the ultimatum, his metal faced crony looming nearby threateningly. Intimidated, the young me flusteredly agreed. Never been back, obviously.
Great service and good prices. It's the best place to take your bike for servicing or fixing - very knowledgeable and experienced. Also has some great bikes for sale retro and new.
