Gem! It's market had developed beautifully since I visited last 5+ years ago. I came for the mushrooms and produce and was pleasantly surprised by the extra ambience.
I am working my way around to trying all the sellers: 1. Nicks chocolate great quality chocolates, you are paying for top quality so evens out 2. The coffee van friendly bunch 3. The fish mongers best oysters in London and I lived in Blackpool where they did good oysters by the prom 4. Perry Court Farm lush apples and apple juices 5. The mushroom lady not bad but I wish she would sell her display boxes it got a little odd you reach for a display box and then she pulls out her made no effort box 6. working my way to the flower lady and olive man next week and the cheese lady! 7. The Wild Country Organics thank you for the potatoes and sage! 8. Thank you to the pasta man the poached pasta was brilliant and your right a little chopped sage and chef's kiss! 9. The young bread man and the funny lady good quality bread knot was so soft! 10. Next the wine and beer table
The market is not big but it's got everything you need! I had a lovely vegan wrap which was amazing. Also the coffee and the chocolate brownie we had were perfect! Highly recommend if you're in the area on a Saturday.
A fine place for local produce, cheese, etc. only on Saturday’s though! Nice community haunt. Lots of people hanging out, enjoying being functioning member of society. It’s easy to imagine what a world without policing would be like when you attend this market.
Cozy Street market, which offers products from various farms: cheese, cider, wine, meat, eggs etc. Everyone is polite and friendly. Everyone offers to you to taste and make a picture. In addition to this, you get tons of delicious food
Really nice market. I visited on a Saturday. The food options are very good, the buttermilk fried chicken was crisp and had very nice coleslaw and hot sauce. The other good options looked good even though I didn’t try them. There was especially good cheese options, but don’t come if you are after brownies or cakes unless you are vegan or dairy free, other markets have much better choice
An adorable little market. Try the pickles stall! Great food options, some are veg/vegan but not many. Still worth a visit on a Saturday, and the neighbourhood is beautiful.
It’s okay. I went thinking it’s a farmers market, as in a few farm shops with stalls selling directly to the public but but they aren’t ? Lots of ‘artisan’ bread, organic coffee and ‘street’ food. I didn’t see any butchers either so headed off to Deptford market instead.
My favourite market in London. Not too crowded. Good quality local products. I usually visit the market for the coffee and shop fish, meat and bread.
This is a review of Nyberg's bakery, not the entire market. Have bought some pastries there today, was really excited about cardamom bun, especially since I'm just back from Denmark. Well.. total disappointment, there were just 7-10 tiny pieces of cardamom on top and NOTHING inside, basically plain bun.., you could call it sugar bun, whatever bun. Nothing close to those amazing danish buns with lots of cardamom swirls inside.
