The driver was 30 minute late. Coordinating the pick up was a nightmare. Also, the company charged us £10 for parking, but we know it was £7 as the driver was late so he was in and out of the airport in under 5 minutes. The driver also had no bank card working so we had to use one of ours to exit the airport parking. Overall, it was just an unpleasant experience, which certainly was not worth the almost £200 that we paid. Be smart, choose someone else.
Will not be booking this service again if I come back to London. The drivers are lovely and their cars are in great condition but the communication and driver allocation is very poorly handled. Booked 4 airport transfers to and from LHR and am currently sitting at the airport for our 3rd transfer and they are over 1 hour late - not to mention for our previous 2 trips they were at least 20 minutes late. Am going to cancel our 4th transfer as we are flying internationally and can’t afford to take the chance on being late especially with all the security required at Heathrow
We needed transportation from Southampton to Gatwick airport. They called to confirm how many passengers and luggage the day before which I thought was a good sign. The driver called me the morning of our pickup and told me that he would be there 30 minutes early, also a good sign. The driver was professional and very nice. The big problem was that they sent a standard SUV to pick up 5 passengers and 5 large suitcases. We had one child in the group and they counted on her sitting in a lap for an hour and a half drive- completely unsafe, but we had no choice as we needed to catch a flight! I felt terrible for the driver because he was so worried about the safety and getting pulled over by the police because of our daughter sitting on our lap. He contacted the company, upset about the situation and so did I. All I of was a “sorry for the inconvenience”. Completely uncaring and no customer service. Will not use or recommend in the future. FYI- this same company goes by several names with Britannia as part of the name, so beware.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! The had great communication ahead of the airport pickup. My driver was 40+ minutes late. In that time,‘I was back-and-forth with the company. They had no idea where driver was, they didn’t apologize. When the driver finally showed up, he was on the phone, no courtesy to explain his failure to be on time, he was texting and driving the whole time, and rude. I have spoken with company via phone, email, and What’s App and I have been ignored or told “don’t worry” when I have requested a refund.
The driver was 30 minute late, on top of our flight being one hour late. We even texted the company to inform them of our delayed flight and yet the driver was late. Coordinating the pick up was also difficult, as the driver was supposed to meet us at Costa Coffee at Stansted, but instead had us running around the airport to find a different pick up point. Also, the company charged us £10 for parking, but we know it was £7 as the driver was late so he was in and out of the airport in under 5 minutes. The driver also had no bank card so we had to use one of ours although he then gave us cash, which caused me to leave the car in the traffic momentarily to insert my pin. Additionally, the driver looked at his phone frequently to adjust destination en-route, and appeared to change music using his phone not sure if he was listening to music on headphones. Overall, it was just an unpleasant experience, which certainly was not worth the almost £200 that we paid. The company refunded us £15, which is appreciated, but if this was a case of just an unprofessional driver, the company should have apologised with a full refund and perhaps even some vouchers for future rides, instead of refunding £15 and calling it a day. Finally, not specific to this trip, the company charges extra for every single occurrence you may think of: night charges, overcharging for airport parking, and even strike charges, making the originally seemingly cheap price actually quite expensive. Please use another company if you can.
Avoid this company at all costs! I arrived at Gatwick this afternoon at 16.20 with 3 children and lots of luggage, I pre booked a taxi 10 days ago. There’s no taxi driver waiting for us, I text the company and the driver and they say that he is stuck in traffic and can’t be at the airport until 18.20…. We decided to take the train, taxi company being ridiculous, apologising and telling me that they will refund me, but that’s not what I am upset about, I expected a taxi to pick us up!!! I was picked up 1h after the agreed time and was asked to carpool with another customer. We were both left with no choice. During that 1h timeframe i was told consistently “your driver is 5mn away, stay where you are, he will come”. I understood after that from the driver that he had been in the carpark all along but no one told him i was waiting as he was still waiting for the other passenger , passenger i was not aware i was carpooling with! Wrote an email to complain and it hasn’t even been acknowledged.
What a horrible experience. The driver was 40 minutes late, the company somehow decided that it would be fine for me to get to the airport at 10am when I booked so I would arrive for 9.15am. There was no time for any error. When arriving at terminal 5 I found out I had to be at terminal 4 because the airline changed, so the driver had to drive me and then insisted I pay the £5 drop off fee which I didn't have in cash, so he yelled at me and continued yelling at me while I walked into the terminal. If I was dropped on time I would have had time to make my own arrangements to get to terminal 4 but due to him being 40 minutes late I had no option but for him to drive me. It also gave me no time to do any VAT claims so that trip cost me well over £200. I gave all this feedback to the company in writing and they have not even acknowledged it. It was such a horrible end to my holiday.
Called me an hour prebooking to tell me I need to be 30 min early. I was 30 min early then they called again to say now they would come at the original time so 30 min after. Then they had 30 min delay. Obviosuly I had to take another cab to not miss my flight. No apologies no refund. Scam
Worst service ever had my own horror story should have read these reviews! Ended up waiting for 50 minutes to finally have to take the bus from Heathrow to Gatwick thankfully I had plenty of time between flights.
