Having spent about 4 hours in reception area on Friday Dec 16th I was eventually seen by a lovely lady called Hannah. I cannot remember her official title. She did lots of tests and was very kind and helpful. I would just like to thank her for her efficiency and good humour in these difficult times. All the people I saw there were also polite and friendly so thank you.

Went here for outpatients gastroscopy. I honestly found the whole process great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, length of time waiting wasn’t too bad, and the staff who did the procedure were amazing. It was the first time I’d had anything like that and I honestly can’t fault the staff. They really looked after me and put me at ease. They were all friendly and wanted to do the best for the patients. The nurse who was helping in the procedure was amazing and he really  helped me to relax and feel at ease in one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever had to do. Thanks so much bridgewater hospital and your staff for doing such an amazing job when you’re all under so much pressure. It will never go unnoticed

Cannot thank the lovely Nurse Penny in A&E/outpatients on Christmas day for seeing to our 10 month old immediately and within 40 mins had him sorted and on our way. I had more answers in that 40 minute visit than the hours and hours of visits to Musgrove over the last 4 months! She was wonderful and actually listened, no fobbing off

The 3 nurses which were handling the Covid vaccinations today, were incredibly unprofessional, bullies and darn right rude. Put into this room with all 3 of them saying I can’t have my vaccine due to allergies which fine I get it. But this one nurse giving me absolutely attitude about having my first booster now. It is my decision, my body, I can choose when I want it or if I want the booster not her. Accused of lying when I said I didn’t have an allergic reaction to the Pfizer but only to the Astrazeneca. Why would I bother to lie my medical records show everything. Had the Pfizer today in Exeter great team over there and I’m perfectly fine.

The staff are so incredibly rude here that I Won’t use this hospital anymore. Always travel further afield for medical help. Such a shame as the hospital facilities are great but the poor customer service from staff lets it down on a massive scale.  Please Bridgwater hospital help us and sort your staff out!!

My first visit & all the staff from receptionists to the consultant & nursing team in the endoscopy/colonoscopy unit were very professional & kind. They ensured all my needs were met throughout.

Absolutely useless and rude.. don't waste hours of your life here they won't do anything for you bar waste your time.. why they built this hospital I'll never know it's completely useless.. The nurses are extremely rude and and not helpful in the slightest they make you feel like your wasting there time even though you've just spent 3 hours in the waiting area.... only went there cuz I physical can't get hold of my doctors surgery keeps going to answer phone... Honestly this whole NHS is a shambles!!!

I had to take my husband in yesterday due to an injury at work. We arrived at 16:18 He went in and booked himself in 2 hours later after sitting in the car I walked in and politely asked how long he would be to be seen as I had to collect our daughter it wasn’t a major issue as I could msg her friends mum too keep hold of her longer she then said he was next ….brilliant no issue. It wouldn’t of mattered if he wasn’t next but When my husband came out 45mins later he said I’d got him into trouble. The nurse who called him in was extremely rude to him saying how dare you ask how long it’ll be to be seen we are extremely busy and the phone doesn’t stop ringing. he told her he hasn’t moved from his seat the whole time he was there and that was backed up by another patient. She wouldn’t have it and was quite hostile and rude towards him, he felt very uncomfortable. I understand staff are stressed but that is no way to talk to and treat patients regardless of your day. The other nurse who treated him apologised for her behaviour which shouldn’t happen

I have been here on multiple occasions for emergencies when I couldn't get help elsewhere and just been pushed around into bureaucracy. 8 times out of 10 I would get help and/or prescriptions here. Knowledgeable nurses and doctors, both male and female staff. Reception could be a little more trained, and there should be an opportunity to notify MIU online in advance that you will be coming including personal details entry to save time for both patients and staff. I wish it would host more different services, especially a couple dentists as there is an immensely high demand for NHS dentists in Somerset, and some people are left to wait for days and even weeks for an urgent appointment. Other than that this hospital staff are lifesavers, and I mostly feel safe and cared for when attending for any reason.
