I stayed at this B&B for two weeks during my course. Great bed, clean and excellent hospitality but I was not allowed to go back to my room until 1600 hrs each day. My course used to start about 0800 hrs and some time finished early but I had to wait until the time to go back to my room. If you are looking flexibility and wish for longer stay, I wouldn't recommend this B&B. I didn't have a chance to move to another as I had already booked for two weeks. I didn't enjoy the stay.

My parents who were planning to visit us in Newark tried to book a room in this accommodation also on two websites but unfortunately they had issues with their card and the proprietor was not able to debit the amount and received the information that there was no available funds on the card. 
Instead of contacting them, the second booking - made by my parents - was automatically rejected and they got an email from the accommodation saying „please book to stay somewhere else. However, I have to advise you that I have shared your name with all other members of the Newark Accommodation Providors (26 B & B's/hotls locally) and they will also cancel any booking you attempt with them.”

Later I tried to book the room for them with my card which definitely has to work as it is an UK bank account and I just received one email back: „we have cancelled your booking - please find somewhere else. We do not want you to book with us.”

I have never ever experienced this behaviour before and I think it is unacceptable in this business. The accommodation seemed to be beautiful in a very good area. However, this attitude is a disaster….and I am still awaiting for the explanation why my booking request was rejected….
