I waited 10 minutes to get served and waited an hour for my fish and chips. The fish was bland beyond belief and served in a pool of cooking oil. The chips were soggy. The peas were alright, but it's hard to screw up peas. Very stale pint of lager filled to half an inch below the pint line, which I didn't notice until I left the bar. Service was friendly but basic. I'm obviously going to need a knife and fork for fish and chips so why did I have to get my own? Condiments I'd understand, but cutlery? This place has had a lot of rise and fall in the last few years, but I'm not coming here again now. The quality is appalling considering the prices.

The server is a little slow but the food is worth the wait and the atmosphere is great. Definitely suggest the place for a lovely pub lunch. Walk before, walk after. Just a great place to stop either way.

The Food was great. The service at the door was non existent and the service was a tad too slow but the staff were very friendly. It's a shame because it's such a lovely family venue.
