Story

At Brewers Fayre we've thought of everything. Great value, great food, great family friendly atmosphere; we've got the lot. Our menu is packed full of family favourites all freshly prepared by our trained Chefs. Built in 2003 on an old allotment, the Oaks is named after the oak tree on site. We're proud to be one of the busiest restaurants in Norwich with a fantastic atmosphere & friendly, experienced team. Our freshly cooked, great value pub food is the best around, & we're close to Great Yarmouth, Norwich City FC & the beautiful Norfolk Broads

The food was very hit and miss - tasty curry, very good breakfast but the coffee machine was broken and no sign of replacement/repair. A steak not fit to sole your shoe, the next steak was overcooked, only just edible - maybe I should've stuck to the curry. On a positive note, the staff were very helpful and amenable... £4.65 for two bits of garlic bread is excessive...
The meal was tasty, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Good customer service, reps were very helpful, and they were welcoming.
Asked for my steak to be well done, when it arrived it was undercooked. Took well over 10 mins to recook, problem was everyone else had been given their meal and were finished eating by the time mine was ready. When you go out for a family birthday meal this isn’t what you expect, ruined the evening and staff didn’t seem to care. We would have stayed for desserts and more drinks but it put us off so we went elsewhere to finish our evening. We’ll not be going back, we used to use this restaurant quite regularly as it’s accessible for a family member with disabilities, there are other places who know what good customer service is and how to deliver it. So you’ve lost a regular customer, well done!!
Stopped by for lunch as a family, very friendly staff who were quick to help - especially Maggie who was incredibly kind and attentive, and even noticed we’d been sat for a while after ordering so offered to chase up our food. Good value for money, comfortable environment. Could do with a little update in the bathroom taps have to be held down to work, toilet not flushing properly, but this obviously doesn’t affect the food. I wouldn’t take a first date here, but as a family meal place it’s brilliant!
Despite the restaurant being only half full there was over a hours wait for food, the female at the door was pretty abrupt towards customers and pretty much telling them to go elsewhere. The restaurant use to be great but recently has gone down hill and frequently has things out of stock including orange juice and pineapple juice
