Went here for a baking course. The staff were lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. All the equipment was good and instructions were straightforward. However we felt that the content of the course was a little light. Much of it was hands off, watching the instructor. The pizza lunch was delicious and the coffee was nice. Apart from the course, the baked goods from here are excellent.
Best filled doughnut I’ve had in a while. We tried three flavors, honey comb, pistachio and blueberry cheesecake. The blueberry cheesecake and honey comb were prob our favorites. Will definitely go back to try the others as well as some of their pizzas!
This was on my London Must Try list after seeing it featured in many food videos. I was super excited to try the vanilla filled donut and it didn’t disappoint. The dough was light and fluffy and filled with delicious vanilla cream. The cream wasn’t as sweet as I was expecting after it’s been repeatedly described to be as sweet as melted vanilla ice cream, I found it not too sweet at all. My husband tried the berry filled ones and he liked them as well.
Best donut in London and one of the best yeast donuts I’ve ever had! Always a go-to for me when I’m in the city. The honeycomb donut was amazing—flavorful, soft, not too sweet. My partner said it was the best donut they’ve ever had. They have a small stand in front of their store and the line moves by quickly
We took our followers recommendations and made a bee line for the Bread Ahead stall at Borough Market last weekend. What we sampled was so delicious we decided to write a poem about it. , , ’ ? ‘’? Have you tried Bread Ahead doughnuts yet? What are your flavour recommendations? We had Lemon Curd which was delicious and tangy - a great contrast to the sugary coating. We also tried the Blackcurrant Cheesecake Ripple because why only have 1 when you can have 2??! and that was in-cred-ible!! Sooo creamy and the best thing is you get loads and loads of filling not like those pesky supermarket doughnuts!! 5 mins walk from London Bridge tube stop
My first doughnut was the vanilla custard one. The vanilla tasted delicious and was not too sweet. Went back to get a second donut and got the pistachio next. This was light in flavour and also a good pairing with the doughnut. Doughnut was super soft and fluffy.
Really enjoy their Doughnuts and sourdough. Ordered the OG Vanilla custard and a blue/raspberry one and it was really great. Do take note to enjoy it in the spot as we bought one back and wanted to have for a snack later and the custard wasn’t good anymore.
Yummy tasty donuts with a variety of fillings to choose from. They always have a long line to get to the shop, but it we noticed it becomes rather quiet towards the end of the day. It's an amazing eating experience.
When you visit Borough Market, I would recommend to give a try of the doughnuts. Lots of flavor options and generous fillings. I was fortunate that when I came they just served pistachio cream one because I would love to have this and indeed the taste was amazing! soft doughnut and sweetness from the rich pistachio filling are in moderation. Another one was blackcurrant cheesecake. It was fresh and yummy. Well balance flavor between a bit savory, moderate sweetness, and good acidity from the jam. So refreshing. Though it was a bit pricey for a doughnut and need patience as there was a line, the doughnut is worth to try! Would back to try other flavors for sure.
Came here twice and was disappointed twice. I just do not think their fillings are nice. The blackcurrant cheesecake was 100% cream and had nothing to do with cheesecake. The salted caramel one had no salt and the caramel taste was only a bitter slightly burned taste, not pleasant, didn’t taste like nice luscious caramel at all. The only good one was the lemon curd one. I guess it is hard to mess up lemon curd filling. The dough is nice, but a bit chewy and hard, also not my favourite. I do admit they look really nice and they are made fresh on site, but to me they are blenders and the tastes are boring and not very distinguished. They are also overpriced for what they are.
