I recently ordered a mango and coconut-flavored birthday cake from The Free From Bakehouse, and I couldn't be more impressed! Incredibly delicious selection of gluten free treats. We put on a gluten free afternoon tea for our mums 70th birthday and all items were exceptional! It really made the event, so thank you. From the cupcakes and rocky roads, to the bakewell cakes and brownies, everything surpassed expectations. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Their pick up service was really easy, but that makes no difference if their desserts don’t taste good..but boy do they taste good. My celiac sister is obsessed with the bagels and the red velvet cupcakes are up there with ‘normal’ ones. You don’t miss the dairy or gluten whatsoever.
I tried some of thier goodies in Borough market long time ago, I liked the texture and the fluffiness of the rich flavoured cake. My favourite are the pistachio rose cake & the brownies was so yummy. I ordered the red velvet cake for my husband birthday, unfortunately it was not good, dry and overly sweet, the only thing i could taste is sugar, it felt like chewing sugar cubes.

Can’t stop thinking about the incredible Battenberg! So nostalgic from my childhood and it was wayyyyy better than Kipling or any other one I’ve had. Not sickly sweet, beautiful soft flavoursome sponge and natural marzipan. Loved it and so glad that I can order a log online
The cake and brownies I bought for my 50th birthday were utterly delicious and gone far too quickly! I will definitely be ordering more from The Free From Bakehouse in the future. Having been gluten, dairy and egg-free for a long time finding celebration cakes that actually look and taste like real cakes has been challenging. I'm not looking anywhere else now. Thank you!
Yesterday my family and I visited London from Leeds. My 13yo daughter has coeliac disease and other food allergies which means that feeding her away from home can be problematic. I’d researched Borough market and found the Freefrom bakehouse which looked perfect for our needs. We were not disappointed. All the labelling was clear in terms of allergens. We tried the red velvet cupcakes and a brownie. They tasted lovely! Thank you.
