We are a third generation family-run fabric business established in 1932.

Story

Borovick Fabrics Ltd is one of the oldest businesses in Soho which is still in the same family’s hands.

We have been in this very competitive business for over 80 years by carrying one of the most diverse selections of fabrics and because of our friendly and helpful staff. Over this time, we have built up an extensive range of fabrics which enables us to serve our diverse clientele.

We supply a large range of bridal/evening wear fabrics, theatrical fabrics, fashion fabrics, dancewear fabrics, and an exclusive range of interior and furnishing fabrics.

We have even been described by the Evening Standard magazine as “the best materials shop” in London.

Many famous names in the world of fashion, theatre and film design have passed through our doorway, including many of whom have received international acclaim and awards such as Baftas, Emmys, Tonys, and Oscars. We have long-standing relationships with many of this clientele. This is only achieved by our personal and sincere understanding of their requirements.

Borovick’s has often been regarded as THE meeting place, not only for our very theatrical clientele but also our general retail clientele.

Many of our customers have been coming for the last four decades. We have had the pleasure of serving third-generation brides, who have come to our premises with their mothers and grandmothers who had also bought their own wedding fabrics from us.

In our opinion, the buying of fabric is a sensory and very tactile experience so we would recommend a visit to our premises.
