Bad customer service, and I felt discriminated by the manager continuously just because I am not white and I buy the same medicine, not even that often i buy that medicine, 3 months once, even less, very occasionally. He remembered my face everytime when I went there. This time he was very rude in front of other customers and said you shouldn't be coming here for this again. I felt discriminated - because my white friend goes even more often and gets the same medicine and has never been asked anything before. Wivenhoe should be a safe place for internationals, but people like this prove otherwise!
They tend to be a tad disorganised.nnApparently prescription text reminders are sent based on collection date of drugs, not the dispensing date.nnMadness of the third degree!
Thank you for not selling me Canesten cream yesterday because my partner is over 61 because of licensing. I went home and bought it online and it arrived this morning.....oh yes and I got it from Boots online!!!!
Staff don't seem to have a clue about basic, common medications, what stock they have, or where to find it.nThe service always feels slow and clumsy.nThey also only ever stock the most expensive versions of basic medications and are not open to constructive feedback on this.
It ought to be a great community pharmacy; sadly it isn't. It may only need some really basic system and process review because everyone has to wait and the staff often take an inordinate length of time often looking seemingly randomly for orders Which is a pity because the GP process to commission prescriptions appears very efficient. I'm a big fan of Pharmacies and their ability to be an alternative option for minor ailments but Boots, Wivenhoe feels too busy and a dash chaotic...at the moment.
